the nonstop IT marathon

try waking up at 7am
making your way down to boon lay at 9am for project meeting
then going down to ulupok tuas area at 11am for project interview
and interviewing nonstop till 530pm with like half an hour break only
then making your way to someone's house by 730pm
and film an video for the project
and then edit the video for the project
by the time the whole nightmare was over, it was 1230am the next day
and then you are suddenly wide awake because you have been going nonstop for more than 12 hours without even a proper wink of sleep
but you know you have to get some sleep because you cannot waste the day away
and waking up at 9am to find that you are not feeling tired

i had my remaining share of rest and fun before the recess week finally starts
i rided on hindsight that recess week is going to be filled with projects, project AND MORE PROJECTS
and turns out that i am right

met up with shuting at vivocity on friday!
the highlight of the night was when shuting said "i want to get a tattoo on my lower back because when i am old and the tattoo is ugly, i cannnot see it"
GOODNESS ME. i laughed like there was no tmr

of course this is not inspired, this is pure unglamness

saturday night i went to lou's house to do IT project
TORTUROUS
and the highlight of the night was the power trip
can you imagine we were drawing the disgusting IT flowchart halfway and the power trip
so the laptop went blank i was completely stunned that i went wtf
luckily we saved our work so the re-drawing part wasnt that much
my goodness me, really a lesson learnt to ALWAYS SAVE YOUR WORK
we slept at 3am
and we didnt complete drawing the flowchart
super tired
lou's mum gave me a lift home on sunday morning
i reached home, had breakfast and went for a swim
i am amazed i can still think of exercising when i am tired
the afternoon was filled with more flowcharts
finally finished drawing at night and i was really positively ditzy alr
my reward was of course dbsk's showcase

my boys are hot. PERIOD
changmin is getting so tall. haha
cannnot wait to see more of their performances in korea
and of course listen to all the songs of the new album
and to lay my hands on their album

i am really perturbed and pertrified of the fact that recess week is just next week
how can 7 weeks of school just fly past so silently
i am really horrified of the things upcoming from the start of recess week till the end of this sem

anw, blog abt what happened so far since the last entry

1) 201 test
no other word to describe but FUGLY
i managed to balance the thing this time but it was done forcefully so ya, i guess there are errors here and there
managed to write at the speed of light which my hand almost died after notes to accounts
but hopefully the results wont turn out too bad

2) AB228A
last lesson of career foundations! wooohooo. now i officially have 4 day work week. wheeeees
loved my teacher he is super funny and he talks in the same kind of language as me like how rare is that!

3) 1st IT interview
was completely horrible, i am too lazy to blog and let the memories flood back and torture me once again but i am really starting to realize how horrible the IT project is and WILL BE
well, i think our group progress is decent and how all things turn out DECENT

4) early birthday celebration with my 2 sec sch besties at chinatown

i was like unusually high when i saw that the streets of chinatown was closed due to the mooncake festival
couldn't resist the urge to take photos because the streets of chinatown are ususally bustling with heavy traffic
and we did some shopping at chinatown and i must say that there are good stuff there!

5) TWEN-TEEN birthday
i feel old but rest assure i know i am forever young in my heart! thanks to all who has wished me thru sms/msn/fb and those who made the effort to give me presents!!

joy was asking me whether i will throw a korean theme 21st birthday party next year and i was stunned by the idea because i have never thought of it before
something to consider for next year. hahaha

am looking forward to the 4th korean album, which the cover was released today!

OHMYGOSH. i really like the design of the cover and the colours from afar

affairs of the public transport

many horrible and nightmarish incidents this week

1) was supposed to book tickets to bangkok last sunday night. so me and joy were happily discussing online.
so joy told me jetstar promotion is ending that night and she asked whether we want to wait until monday to see whether there is new promotion
so being naive and ignorant, we both agreed that we should wait and take a gamble for new promotion
so monday when i was on my way to school, i saw joy's sms that jetstar DID NOT HAVE A NEW PROMOTION
rather, the price increased
what a nice horror for the start of the week
our airfare increased by like $29 for each person
my conclusion is, airfares increases as the date draws near
so next time you are in the same situation as me
DO NOT TAKE THE GAMBLE, just buy the ticket

2) tuesday was a horrible trip to school
i'm sure many university students, esp NTU students have heard of the incredibly long bus 179 queue to school
well, having to travel this sem, i can see that the bus 179 queue is always long
i was really wrong abt my perception of LONG until i experienced what i did on tuesday
i left my house at 845am for my 1030 class
normally it takes 1 and 1/2 hrs to travel to school from my house
i reached boonlay mrt at 955am
and the sight i saw was really PHENOMENAL
i saw students queuing alr when i walked down the steps of the mrt station
but i refused the believe the queue was so long so i decided to walk infront ABIT to see whether it is really that situation
AND OHMYTIANS, IT INDEEED WAS
so i faster walk back and started queuing
i joined the queue at the fruit stalls there la, and that's the place where you alight if you take the 179 bus from school to interchange
MY GOOODNESS ME
i was still telling myself, shld be okay la, i am early, will reach school in time
WRONG AGAIN
i stood at the spot for like 5-10mins and the queue didnt even BUDGE AN INCH
and to make matters worse, the jurong point smell kept wafting in the air like how nice it was seriously
it took me half and hour to board the bus
YES SO I WAS LATE
boarded the bus at 1030am can you believe it, thats the time where i am suppose to have my lesson
it took forever because there was no 179A and sbs decided to be a bitch by nt sending out 179s
even if it did, it sent out a single deck like HAHA. SO CONSIDERATE OF YOU
my conclusion for this is i will never arrange a 1030 class to be my first class. i went school at 1030 that day because i didnt have my 830 morning class

3) i mistook the wrong question for presentation
HOW NICE RIGHT
so over the weekend i HAPPILY chionged through all the readings for IT to do my presentation qn
somemore my presentation qn was like DIFFICULT it killed alot of my brain cells while trying to do it
IN THE END, on tuesday when we met up to compile
my group realised we did the wrong question
ok, partly my fault since i kept insisiting we are doing that question
i guess i was punished for my efforts
and ironically or however you want to see it, the real question we had to present was actually much easier we managed to settle it on tuesday afternoon, just in time for wednesday presentation

4) wednesday's IT lesson was suppose to end at 630pm but the teacher released us early at 545pm
so me and lou was so excited we wanted to chiong home so we can go home early for dinner
when we came out from the classroom, it was raining
but that DIDN'T really dampen our spirits yet because i had an umbrella
so we walked to the bus stop and that was where the real horror begins
WHY?
because the bus stop was exploding we couldnt even squeeze into the shelter of the bus stop
so we were left standing outside the bus stop with my tiny umbrella being shared by the 2 of us and with mr rain deciding to pour even more heavily
within minutes, our shoes became swimming pools
and our clothes started to get soaked
to make the matters even worse as if its not enough, bus 179s that came were all PACKED to the brim and none of them stopped
only NTU students will understand this. during peak hours, bus 179 would be packed like siao at the canteen A bus stop
norm it wont stop at the innovation bus stop
which was where me and lou were at that day
so we deicded maybe we shld flag a cab to end our agonies
BUT, ALL THE CABS WERE EITHER HIRED OR ON CALL
GOSH
and luckily we were smart enough we decided to take the shuttle bus that came to hall 1
cos hall 1 is the first stop of 179, sure can board the bus
so we alighted at hall 1 and a few seconds after alighting, we were given a welcome by this amazing waterfall created by this car zooming past the busstop
it splashed all over my bottoms la!

so we decided to stand behind the seats at the bus stop so the water wont splash onto us even when cars zoom by
the reason why the water was splashing because at hall 1, there was some mini flood so its inevitable that cars will make water splash
so the next car came and i was ABOUT to gloat over the fact that we wont get wet
and that was when the car zoomed past and THIS TIME, the water splashed onto my top, a little bit splashed on my face
HOW GREAT IS THIS
there were also other people at the bus stop
den they said "OPEN UMBRELLA!"
haha, so we opened our umbrella the next time a car zoomed past
finally 179 came and it was quite crowded
but we managed to find ourselves seats
we have never been so thankful for a seat on a bus before

by the time we got to the interchange, it was 1 hour later
meaning 645pm, considering we were being let off at 545pm
if it didnt rain, we would also have reached the interchange at 645pm
and we were in a very cui state because almost 80% of our clothes are wet
our shoes are COMPLETELY WET and filled partially with water
we were super cold and hungry
so we deicded to get some food first before we board the train
we saw food stalls at the interchange so we got our food
and lou is damn funny pls, she buy her pau alr she told me "how i wish i can just hold the pau in my hands and not eat it"
TRYING TO BE FUNNY LA seriously. haha
so we gobbled our food and boared the train
we managed to find seats also
when we sat down, lou said "i'm thankful that the previous person that sat on this seat has a warm butt"
upon hearing, i think i laugh until my stomachpain la seriously

ok, so i guess you are curious what time i reached home
745pm, took a full 2 hours and at paya lebar it rained also but i cannnot be bothered since i was just one step away from being completely wet
you know at times like this, i wish that how nice it would be if i had a car and i have my driving license so i can drive home in peace or there was someone nice enough that offered me a lift home
but ya, its a horrible incident i feel the thrills just recounting this here

ok, so thats all the horrible incidents that happened
of course there are the happy sides

1) friday i went to orchard for some shopping
i finally got that y-mail wallet from ysl, birthday present from my mum :D
my mum is reallly nice
i got a black headaitch from crumpler because my red topshop bag broke on monday i was so sad
so i decided i need a SUPER DURABLE BAG for school

2) got my july work pay too on friday
comission for the 3 months would be $100+ but its not payable to me yet
and rena was nice to give me a lift from tiong bahru to kallang so that i saved time travelling on the train and i could get home faster

3) overloads of youtube videos from suju and shinee that made me happy

loved this performance because it was the first time i heard minho sing and he has good vocals in my opinion and he was also super cute during the moments he had with eeteuk and eunhyuk. ALLL MY LOVES :D

am deciding whether to pre-order the 4th album so as to get first press edition

1) tmr is 201 mid term test. in the previous post i mentioned the duration is 2 hours. nah i was wrong. only given 1 HOUR AND 40 MINS to complete a balance sheet, a statement of comprehensive income, a statement of changes in equity and notes to account
my brain and hand MUST work at the speed of light

2) going down to the company for interview for IT project
IT project is starting to reveal its true face i hope i can conquer it!

you know i am so numbed of school now that when i travel on the train to school and home, i no longer feel tired
i have started to feel jaded of the endless readings that i am starting to STOP complaining about it
and i no longer feel that i have to battle with the bed in the morning just to get up for school or to do my readings
at least its a good sign i guess
ahh, whatever

back to revision for 201 tmr

ENDLESS READINGS

lucky me, i managed to survive the week despite being sick
am almost fully recovered but i decided i need to or rather must stay and keep healthy till 21st Nov

202 presentation was SUPERB
my teacher said if nothing goes wrong it would be an A+ grade :D
teachers don't lie to you right, haha
was super happy la and amazed at how well my team worked together despite the very first time working together
i conclude as long as everyone puts in their effort for a project
everything will go well
hope we mainatin the same zest for our board meeting thingy!

am super lagging in my 201 because i forsaked it to do my 202 presentation
i am really amazed by the amount of readings from 201 like FRS 1 has like freaking 78 pages and it's not some story book where you can read it leisurely and digest it well
my goodness
and the 201 mid-term will be another horror again i guess
have to prepare adjusting journal entries, balance sheet, statement of comprehensive income, statement of retained earnings and notes to accounts in like 2 hours!
not only must my brain work well, my hand must write at lightning speed!
gosh, and i certainly don't welcome the fact of doing it in the lecture theatre because the tables are like so small i will feeel so confined by the space
SIGH

IT readings is overwhelming, i just printed them and i was like rahhh
but i think it will be okay to read them because i kind of enjoy IT this sem
my next fave subj would be 202
but i think when we embark on the IT project, it would be totally another different story

4 weeks of school has just passed like that, seeeems duper fast and in like 3 weeks time recess week will come
i can't help but think of the horros ahead

been infatuated with SHINee these days
watched their reality show and i missed korea when they went to yongin everland and sat the t-express and all the lovely scenary
secretly wishes i can just quit school and migrate to korea. haha
eunhyukkie is still the same as always, my happy pill whenever and ever
dbsk has been busying flying between japan and korea
i am seriously worried for their health
4th korean album will be releasing soon
am super happy they will release it in my birthday month
i will be DELIRIOUSLY happy if the release date is my birthdate
i will still be SUPER happy even if they release in sep
cannnnnot wait loh, i am dying of anxiety actually
it's been like almost 2 yrs since the 3rd korea album!
sepaking of which SM Town Concert tickets is confirmed just that i dunnnoe where i will be sitting yet but its okay
i will bring my binoculars
cannnot wait seriously, will buy air tickets and book hotel soon :D

am super addicted to God Diva's dark chocolates now they are superb seriously
cannnot wait to go to bkk again so i can get them at duty free price at the airport!

sick sick sick

school hasn't been fun, like whats new
but at least random and hilarious things happen and spice up my life

anw finally met up with the s46 girls after like zillion years or sth. it was good and we dined at the korean restaurant at fep! secretly wants to increase my korean vocabulary so that i can speak korean to the restaurant manager next time so as to get free flow of side dishes!

went to lou'c church drama play. was good watching the church members put up such a good drama considering the time limit and none of them are professional actors. was good also listening to the person preach, i felt more holy and peaceful

credit card fraud happened to me and all i can do was to curse at that person and wait for a new replacement card

met a die-hard boa fan in my class during the networking session. actually we are suppose to converse on the topic given by the instructor but dunnnoe what happen we ended up exposing our J&K pop madness. i was so proud and excited telling the boa fan that i went to dbsk's concert in thailand

fj: " yeah, i went to their concert, in thailand"

boa fan: "how come thailand?"

fj: " they held a concert there mah, so have u been to any of boa's concert?"

boa fan: "ya, in tokyo"

i felt totally thrashed and slapped. haha. to go japan/korea for concerts is like OMGOMGOMG
ok i think its super random but i seriously found it amusing

the down part of this week, in addition to the fraud is that i have been sick TWICE. can you believe it.
i was sick on tuesday and i had to endure through 2 positively disgusting seminars which i got a terrible headache after that. after school i even headed to ps in attempt to get some stuff that i need but guess what, couldnt find them at all. i went home with my head spinning and plunge into bed, luckily i recovered after a long 2hrs sleep
and today i am sick again, at a larger magnitude den tuesday, flu and mild sore throat which i highly suspect is due to the random tantrums of mr. weather to be suddenly scorching hot and to suddenly rain cats and dogs
and guess what i had to do, entertain guests that came to visit from abroad and compile my project presentation. i was like sneezing and blowing my nose while doing the ppt slides
i alr ate medicine but i am still not feeling better! rah
i need to recover at least by tmr!
i got work to complete next week can! 2 major presentations and 1 minor one and on top of that, the endless readings!!
sigh, seriously hate my body mechanism, it simply likes to shut down on me whenever i need it to stay strong!

alright, i shall go watch the olympics closing and probably rest early for the day
i am so proud of Park Tae Hwan, the swimmer from korea. he's like amazing! (:
hope he gets more gold medals next time!

ok, we shall start from my wadrobe. haha. tidying the clothes and all made me realise i do have QUITE SOME CLOTHES. considering i sold off a mountainous pile during the holidays. actually to be exact the pile of clothes is still with rena and she havent post them yet. but my point is. imagine if i didnt intend to sell them off

i dunnnoe whether this seems like alot to you all but i feel that my clothes are hung super close to each other. i feel like i am having some tiny mango or zara sale in my room though. AHEM. oh and i didnt hang all the tops in this space. my office wear clothes are under rent in my mum's wadrobe. haha

oh and some signs of fangirlism on the left! lol

ok next lets move on to the outwear, scarves and skirts section

eh, i think my outwear is sufficiently okay in amount la but then again, i have some hoodies and coats under rent in my mum's wadrobe too bcos i figured i wont be wearing them often unless i go to some winter country
oh but i realise i do have little skirts, at the right hand side, mostly are denim and colour blue oh well. i seldom wear them anyway

ok. next to the truly bottoms section

on top are shorts, ok i think my shorts are a lil towering. behind my shorts are all my leggings and stockings. yup
bottom is all my jeans and crop pants. haha. erm cannnot stack all together cos cannnot fit inside the height of the space. haha
oh, i put my ties and my suspender here too because i cannot find any other place

lets move on to my bags. haha
i think i have too much bags i have to seperate them into 3 categories
1) frequently used
2) will use
3) may use sometimes

am trying to get used to the travelling
seriously i love how they take care of the welfare of NTU students
we are located at the end of the EW line
the buses to our school are located at the furthest end of the boon lay interchange
how nice it is seriously, we go to the ends so as to go to school

monday i went to school early to buy my textbooks and notes
i bought like $20+ worth of readings pls say congratulations to me. i suddenly feel like i am an arts student
and i didnt buy all my textbooks cos it was kind of overwhelming i dont stay in hall anymore i haf no strength to lug that kind of loot back home
bought my aa201 and aa202 accounting basic texts
bought my ab214 comm fund text
left out IT and this accounting book that was recommended by seniors because they were just ultra expensive. haha. KIV seriously

and i seriously think that the aa201 text EXTREMELY ENTICING

end of the holidays, another battle begins

this should be the most nostalgic post of the 3 months holiday because this marks the end of the holidays and the beginning of another ferocious battle

well, shall blog abt things that happened for the last week of hols

1) finished tidying up my room, super duper neat now :D just waiting for the bed to arrive on tues and i guess pictures of my room will be up on wed i hope (:

2) watched money no enough with my mum

as usual jack neo films make me cry and laugh at the same time, one moment i was laughing and the next moment i was crying. i seriously think that money no enough was DAMN NICE so people out there stop stereotyping that singaporean films are nt nice and blah blah. GIVE IT A TRY. i rest assure you that you will not regret it

3) went back to NTU for professional photoshoot
put full make up for the first time in my life this yr
full make up meaning base, foundation, powder, eyeshadow, eyeliner, blusher, lipstick and lipgloss
MYGOD. its not as singapore is not hot and humid enoughl. it would have been fine if i was in korea i guess. actually maybe not but anw, i was feeling even more hot den usual with full makeup on and trotting my way back to NTU is nothing fantastic seriously
ok, i met lou and den we headed to the place
and then i got irritated by the photographer which was just RUDE AND WEIRD
he made me sit in such a weird posture and all that i just gave the whatever face
and because of that, he asked me whether i understand english like WTH. what a rhetorical and redundant question that is seriously
if you don't want to take photo for us don't take la! as if you are the only professional photographer around. RAH
anw my big conclusion is my $3.50 spent for that photograph shld turn out weird and fugly. sigh. if its super hideous i guess i will go somewhere else and retake again. shall see

4) outingwith my 4f gang
watched mummy 3 tomb of the dragon emperor

utterly disappointing. the previous ones are definitely much nicer. i just felt that the interaction between the actors were just WEIRD, esp the new woman who acts as the rick o' conners wife and the excitement in this movie was just so so. therefore my advice to people out there who haf no time, pls catch money no enough instead of mummy 3

after movie we went to eat at ichiban sushi

5) dinner with my NTU mates
me, stanley, poh lu and xiaoyuan met up today evening and dined at fish&co. waited super long for my seafood platter. seriously wth i was starving as i watched so many platters zoom past me but none is mine. but eventually i was satisfied after eating my platter.
we walked around for a while at ps and den went home

6) finally got my mp3! haha, ya like dragged for so long i finally made my choice and i dont think i regret it (:
so... i got the ZEN X-Fi. the sound is seriously superb i love it alot. the noise cancelling earpiece is like WOOHOO but the only pitfall is i carnt hear a single shit once i plug myself in. haha
love the drag and drop thing too, i am so going uninstall iTunes soon its like ultimately irritating with its endless updates
now the only thing left to do is to wait for the leather case to be out and i will order it online to house my x-fi. WOOOHOOO
seriously $229 was WELL SPENT for a 8GB mp4 player and it came with a travel charger too! (:

7) i was in complete agony on saturday night because of the MTV Asia Award
apparently miss jingting got VIP TICKETS. i repeat VIP TICKETS to MTV asia award la! OMG. JEALOUS TO THE MAXIMUM. i was damn depressed when she told me she saw super junior in real life and how small eunhyuk face is and how suju walk past her to go to their seats at MTV
i was like at home alone staring at eunhyuk's picture in complete agony and that was when i decided

this is like the reason why i must go!
eunhyuk is ADORABLE :D

back to why this post is nostalgic
because i haf to wake up early tmr morning to start the 1st assignment of the semester
can you believe it, i alr have assignment before the sem officially starts
suppose to be some pre-writing test
the topic at all will be released at 9am and i haf to hand in on tues 5pm

when i saw that email it took me alot not to curse at my luck
so this post really marks the end of freedom and joy
start of terror and endless readings
oh btw i had a glance at the amount of readings i was suppose to do for one of my modules and i was just -__________-
ok, i shant complain
i shall just pray that i survive through this sem fine.

anw the 3 month hols was good
travelling, working, meeting up with friends

i miss korea and bkk alot now
i miss yongin everland
i miss jeju island
i miss authentic korea food
i miss seoul
i miss cheap stuff at bkk
i miss the seafood and durain at bkk

well, at least the memories will stay forever and i hope i can go back to korea again

happenings, last day of work, pre bkk

ok, life has been pretty much happening since the last post

1) Shopping day with my mum
we went to vivo city to look around
btw river island was extremely tempting but i resisted, please appluad for me
had lunch at chinatown, frog leg porridge, kind of like a weird timing but extremely enjoyed it
went to orchard for high end shopping
basically we went to like all the branded shops, LV, gucci, burberry, bottega veneta, loewe, ysl etc
saw some things that i liked and there was a sale ongoing for most brands
my major pitfall was at ysl
where i saw the wallet i have been eyeing at for a considerably long time
ad my mum was damn nice she offered to buy that in place of the samsung phone
she said the price of the phone will definitely drop, can buy it next time, now can get the wallet first since its kind of a limited edition thing cos its not a classic collection

anw a look at the wallet first, there are more different colours like black and gold but this is the only picture i can find online

my mum is damn nice i know but i rejected her offer because i was confused, like phone or wallet or mp3! and i alr haf such a big dilemma on the mp3 alone. gosh

yeah, so i went home with nothing except like 2 pair of socks that you can wear with pumps. HAHA

2) date with jingting
met her at raffles city shoduku
my first time there
food was good i think but i think it would have been better if a larger group of people went so you can try out more kinds of food
we ate until our stomach almost exploded but still we didnt get to try out all
and something random we spotted zhengxi at shoduku like how small can the world get
after that we went to ps area
bought tickets for the red cliff at the cathay
den shopped at ps
bought a pair of black shorts from dp
attempted to go fix my phone, had some prob with my memory card but couldnt cos phone memory would be wiped out and i havent back up
alll my contacts are like saved in my phone, so no, didnt get it fixed but the next day my phone is miraculously okay. getting a lil conky

anw. red cliff was AWESOME
love it, although some parts was just a lil bit draggy
and lin chi-ling voice was super irritating i couldnt take it
and then the ending was DAMN, they ended at the most exciting part
cannnot wait for the second part to be out seriously

he was super funny in the movie la. haha

and guess what something even more coincidental zhengxi was also watching red cliff at the same theatre, we saw him when we came out. GOSH, how i wish i haf such luck with dbsk/suju but unfortunately no

den we went to orchard, shopped around and then went home
i rmb-ed i was super reluctant to go home because the next day i had to work

3) WORK
BORING, NOT MUCH SALES
as usual many ridiculous stuff happen but i decided i shant be that bad since i no longer work there alr
fri was my last day but i knocked off late because i had last min sales and supervisor wasnt around to sign my time sheet when i had to knock off
but i did enjoy my time working at the airport i think it's a good environment to work in
and i think i learnt quite alot from my job this time. ahha

4) pam lee's bday party on sat night

ok i concluded i put too much concealer on my eyebags that i look kind of sunburnt. hmmm. but anw i dunnoe why the pictures came out with orangey lines that weren't there but yes it was good seeing old friends

we left early like around 10 plus
went to kembangan station with george and waited for zhengxi to come pick us up
was going to late night movie with zhengxi and yunhong

so zhengxi dropped george at ps
den we went to park at paradiz
bought tickets for the dark knight, 1:45a.m. at the cathay
den we went to laze around at ps starbucks while waiting for yunhong

anw dark knight was superb

but horrifying for me please
i was like constantly shocked by their sudden sound effects of the bullets
and joker was ultimately horrifying esp the antics that he does
and there were some gross scences in my opinion that is RAHHH
but ultimately its good the way the filmed the thing and all

after movie we went to simpang bedok for prata
like 5am in the morning. totally thanks
den after that went home and i zonked out

5) bedok 85 with colleagues
went back to t1 on sunday night to meet rena
we went to look around at t3
nothing much i think
den we went to bedok 85 with another of our colleague to eat
bak chor mee, chicken wing, stingray, tang yuan
omg, i am such a gluttion but the food was good
discussed our thailand trip and we took a midnight cab home

ok, tmr i am going down to collect my pay
and i need to pack tmr
flying off to bkk on wed morning, super early flight
and it would be 5 days of fun at bkk shopping and eating
pls hope i bump into dbsk there cos apparently they may hold a press conference, nt very sure and i am too lazy to check out
and hopefully i dont overspend again at bkk, just sufficient loot will do

hates fastest finger, dilemma on mp3 and quiz

i had a taste of what the fastest finger game was like on wednesday
seriously i admit i was like TOO SLOW. i was like blur and didnt know i had to press confirm when i click "add courses in stars"

fugly timetable for me
it ain't exactly THAT fugly
apparently my AA202 tcher is good and i am in the same class as lou, some bit of comfort here
and my AC213 tcher is good too. btw AC213 is IT so i need all the help i can get and again i know people in my cls like lou, poh lu, shanielle so its NOT THAT BAD
on the contrary my AA201 tcher is supposedly to be not good according to sources and the timing is DAMN WEIRD and then there is a VACANCY meaning its kind of like an unwanted slot
my AB214 tcher shld be okay since i have not heard anything but i NEEED to switch my AB214 class during add drop in hope of switching to a good AA201 tcher cos the timing OBSTRUCTS EVERYTHING
AB228A cls is not so bad because at least i am in the same class as vivien, like the only one and its friday morning, not friday afternoon and it only last for 5 weeks
but in overall i think my timetable is kind of sucky considering i have to travel next sem and all unless i cab like almost everyday
my best hopes now is to get better slots during the add drop period
seriously i conclude the fastest finger game SUCKS. PERIOD

ok the very best thing that i can do to cheer myself up regarding the timetable is that ultimately i still end my exams early and just in time for SM TOWN FESTIVAL CONCERT AT THAILAND AT 29TH NOV! HOHO. i hope joy and jingting can end their exams early or sth happen such that we can all go together!

now moving on the a big dilemma i had since the holidays started
WHICH MP3 PLAYER SHOULD I GET?!
i keep changing my mind over the holidays so i was thinking maybe readers of this blog can give me SOME help

1) Apple iPod Nano 8GB Red

Why buy?
because i have been using the 1st generation and the design is pretty and small
plus if i am really going to get it i will have it engraved online so i will have a pretty mp3 player
and i have no problems navigating myself since i have been using it

Why don't buy?
because iTunes is the ultimate irritant with it not being to read wma files and i have to convert everytime resulting in a bigger file size and hence less storage of songs and i am super lazy i hate adding music to iTunes it gets out of control and hard to manage. in addition you waste your computer storage space by having different file types of the same song
plus iPod has NO RADIO, not that i need it desperately but sometimes u just want to listen to the radio when you get sick of your music or sth.
plus iPod battery life really sucks like hell and i think i will get myself a travel adaptor if i get an iPod again since the battery runs out so fast
plus iPod nano 4GB only comes in silver, a colour which i do not like. cos if i get the nano, the screen is so small i don't think i will put that many videos inside and i wont need 8GB memory, 4GB will be more ideal but i just don't like silver electronics
plus iPod's earphones sucks like hell too if you dont keep them properly they just give you bad sound quality like my ipod now
and the screen is super small la, strain my eyes only

2) Sony Walkman A728 8GB in either pink or white

Why Buy?
Because i have staff discount i can get it at a price that is cheaper than the market, even the airport and i get a leather pouch that is tailor made for it, a LCD screen protector and a travel charger
plus the battery life is DAMN GOOD. the best out of all the mp3 players i am considering so far
plus i get the 13.5 ex headphones which are in-ear and noise cancelling. i particularly hate to listen mp3 at the bus stop because when the bus comes or sth, you just dont hear your music, i think the noise cancelling ones will make it better
plus there is no need for any software, file transferring is drag and drop, in simpler terms u just copy and paste
plus there is all the DSEE, clear stereo and blah blah sound technologies that make the music sound better
plus the screen is big enough for me to indugle in my videos

Why don't buy?
Because it had no radio
and the file formats that sony can read is quite restricted, particularly the video part i think i have to convert my video formats or sth if i get this

3) Sony Walkman S616F 4GB in Black/White/Pink/Red

Why get?
Because again i have staff discount and i can get a travel charger
plus its like the iPod Nano, small and handy
plus it has FM Radio, more enjoyment
plus the battery life of the player owns any iPod hands down
plus there is no need for software, drag and drop
plus there is the DSEE and other audio technologies that enhance my songs quality

Why don't get
because the screen is smaller than the ipod nano, making it even worse for me to watch videos
and the file format issue

4) Creative Zen 8GB Black

Why get?
Because it is CHEAP, i can also get it at staff discount since i know the creative promoters, getting it will mean that i am more likely to get my samsung F480
plus i get a travel adaptor too and maybe good earphone-negotiable
plus the memory is exapandable with a SD card slot, so i can always put in a 8GB memory card and max it to 16GB or sth
plus the resolution of the screen is the best out of all the mp3 players i am considering, good for viewing videos
plus it supports many file formats, i think the most out of all mp3 players i am considering too
plus it has all sorts of nonsense functions, most impt it has radio, plus voice recorder, organizer and alarm, seriously functions i wont use at all
plus u can always change the background of the menu, which means i can have a dbsk/suju background! HOHO

Why don't get
Because i do not like the design, its kind of plastic, doesnt feel solid enough and it only comes in black
plus i dont exactly find the navigation buttons user friendly
plus the battery life for videos is not very good, 5 hours only, sony models are like 10 hours
plus i heard my colleagues say that there are some feedback saying that the player hangs sometimes and the startup time of the player is the longest out of all the mp3 players i am considering
and there is a new model of zen that is launching soon which is the next model i am considering

5) Creative Zen X-Fi 8GB

Why get it?
Because i can get it at staff discount, i hope, its cheap
plus there is the X-Fi technology which makes the music sound as if it comes for a speaker which i actually suspect that it may not be very good for long term listening
plus the earphone that come with it are in-ear ones which is noise cancelling
plus there is a built in speaker so i can blast the music when i feel like it
plus the design is a LITTLE bit nicer than the zen model, more solid and not so plastic
plus the battery life is a LITTLE bit better than the zen, 36 hrs of music
plus the memory is also expandable
and the wide file format support and other good advantages that i listed under zen

Why don't get it
Because i don't really like the design either, the 9 button thing is like WTH?!
plus i don't like the navigation of the zen model, i doubt i will like the navigation of this either
plus the battery life of videos is not that good again
plus its a new model i am really not sure of what the feedback is like i don't like to be a guinea pig

ok, i hope you get why i am having troubles deciding which mp3 to get
anw just to let you know that ipod nano should be the last choices of all, i think now i am waiting for the feedback of the ZEN X-Fi to see how is it, my first choices are probably the ZENs or the sony A728

any work now sucks because there is no crowd. everybody suffers a drop in their sales and i have been doing randomly nonsensical stuff like helping customers add songs into their ipod, changing price tags and spying on koreans
SOMETIMES. seriously just sometimes i like try to imagine what i will do if i suddenly see DBSK walking around the boarding area in front of my shop. my best conclusion is i will HECK care everything, even if i am serving some big shot customer and dash towards them and say hi or sth. haha. you see the crowd is like so little that i can fantasize about such NONSENSICAL and IMPRACTICAL stuff
fortunately i have just 2 more weeks to go and then i will fly off the bkk with rena where we will have technically 4 days of food, shopping, relaxation, fun and laughter and then SCHOOL WILL START
seriously i really dread a semester, it is always frought with work that will never be cleared and then my blog will be frought with endless complaints. its like 4 more semesters to graduation and i have survived through 2. i am just trying to tell myself that i am already almost halfway through so its not so bad. TRYING TO STAY POSITIVE SERIOUSLY

oh anw i bought a canon multifunctional printer on tuesday. visited funan and found it at a good deal. got free items like 30 sheets of glossy photo paper and a targus laptop bag
BUT
due to the irritating window vista OS which i highly suspect my desktop cannnot recognise the printer driver and i cannnot use it at all except to photocopy stuff and print photos from SD card now.
and calling canon was ultimately irritating cos i kept getting diverted to different people although all the people were friendly and nice talking to me and the conclusion was a service man will come down and look at what is wrong on monday afternoon

and i seriously need to do a complete makeover of my studyroom SOON. before the sem starts. its in a complete mess. my loot from korea is like lying around on the floor pls, have no time to tidy it up. SERIOUS. also need to shift some furniture here and there so as to make it conducive for me to study in the room next sem since i wont be staying in hall

updates since korea trip

going to blog about some of the major events that have happened since the korea trip

1) collected my first pay for the holiday jobs that i have been working, $400+ dollars, not alot but at least to cover up some of the damage done during the holidays

2) went out with jingting like 2 days after i came back for some MOVIE MARATHON. caught the black book and SATC
black book was FABULOUS. 5 stars rating please. as usual its war films that have this kind of effect on me but its more on like spies rather than warfare. really superb. i may get the dvd if its out alr
SATC was nice too but black book was better for me. haha. and i know i caught SATC super late but i just didnt have the time and the company?

3) clubbed on one wed to celebrate dawn's birthday. beeeen a super long time since i saw the girls. clubbing wasnt really fun. we kind of left phuture at like 2plus. and the great thing was i still had work on thursday la! i almost couldnt crawl out of bed and i was like a living zombie during work. and rena ps-ed me. i had to continue working on friday. so on friday, i went home and ZONK OUT

plan was to highlight purple but the hairdresser told me my hair so black, must bleach to see the purple so i highlighted like mahogony in the end, which is kind of purplish red but more of red la
i totally have a black helmet sitting on my scalp now. i am serious

5) went out with lou someday to shop. i know i am not suppose to shop but window shopping is afterall not a crime right. didnt find any clothes that i fancied. i guess korea has upped my standards when looking for clothes. but guess what i got that day, a pair of lacoste pumps. been eyeing it for a long time and suddenly that day i couldnt find it, it was either OOS of nowhere to be found so i quickly went to hunt for it and got it

6) suppose to go out with jingting and lishan one day but lishan ps-ed because her phone spoil. that day me and jingting had a huge korean spread of korean bbq and seaweed soup and the other small dishes until we were super full. i am still addicted to korea food seriously. haha. and we watched WANTED that day which is kind of a ridiculous show with a ridiculous ending but some parts are nice but i seriously think black book is the best movie i caught during the holidays

7) laid my eyes on the new samsung F480 touchwiz phone because its SO SIMILAR to the anycall haptic phone that dbsk endorsed. i bet samsung modified it for the singapore market
5MP camera and that user interface! i super cannnot resist la! gosh. i think sooner or later i will just succumb to temptation and get the phone but i am still looking at the prices. but to say the truth, i have alr decided to get the phone now the big question is WHEN. haha
and u know my priority this hols was to like change my mp3 player. i need to like burn my apple ipod 1st gen nano in hell alr. its DAMN CUI. i am like listening to conk out music now and then. and if i get the phone i think i will go budget and go for the creative zen but then again i heard that creative is coming out with a new one so i guess i will wait first. haha. many decisions to make

8) met up with shuting today! its like almost a year since i last saw her. it was a short meeting but it was nice to just GOSSIP as usual abt the pple we know. TSK TSK.

9) rest of the days are either spent lazing at home or working. i am super into reading now i have no idea why. nowadays during my 1hr break at work u will find me at the lounge reading. haha. anw i kind of want to share some of the ridiculous stuff that i encountered during work

- initially i was neutral abt the iphone until i got discriminated by this guy at work. so he has an iphone and he came to the shop and asked "where can i find the iTrip?" my first reaction was "what?" seriously i have never heard of it, i am not THAT IT savvy let alone Apple savvy and den guess what he said to me "Can i pls speak to a guy?"
seriously fuck. u think girls are not that IT savvy right. FINE. like i want to serve you like that pls. got iphone v big isit. wait till i get my hands on my samsung phone and SOOOOT u back la!
and he went around testing the speakers with his iphone and when his songs played, he announce to like the whole shop "this works with iphone!"
i seriously think my life is filled with the most ridiculous irritants u can ever find
and because of that incident and also of my inbuilt devotion to samsung. i kind of condemn the iphone whenever i can now. haha =x

- some ridiculous guy came up to me and ask whether he could buy a mp4 player that cost less than S$50. seriously. u wait long long maybe one will drop down from the sky and u can get it for free ya. i mean the cheapest mp3 players cost around $70? and u want to get a mp4 player for less than S$50?! has he been like living in a cave or sth. ain't he aware that oil prices are rising? or maybe that guy think that when oil prices rise prices of mp3 players will drop. totally ridiculous

- and if you think the above was RIDICULOUS enough. wait till u read this. 2 guys actually mistook the ipod nano cover, that cost $36 for the real ipod. meaning the player itself
OHMYGOODNESS GRACIOUS. i almost fainted when i explained to them its the cover and showed them the real stuff which costs like $222. when can these people ever wake up from their dreams?!

- enough of those people who live in denial. let me talk abt some pple who are like ignorant. some pple really have no idea what the ipod is. actually such ignorant pple think ipod = mp3 players. i have customers telling me " can i have a look at the samsung ipod?" it took alot for me to tell them that the one they are looking at is not the ipod and to show them the real ipod. seriously there is at least 1 ignorant customer everyday. it aint my mission to educate them on mp3 players ya?

- let's move on to the rich. recently i got this rich family who wanted to get ipod but don't know how it looks like. so when we showed them the ipod the father just threw his credit card at us
WAHLAO EH. GOT CREDIT CARD V BIG ISIT. need to throw at pple! and then when we ask him which ipod he wants. he just continue pushing his credit card to us. WTF seriously
and another ridiculous case i heard from my colleauge. some guy was buying the ipod classic 160GB. and then there was another guy. so guess what the other guy did. he asked my colleague for the exact same thing that the guy got. and when my colleague showed him. he asked my colleauge what is it. why is it so heavy. TELL ME. will u faint on the spot? throwing out like $500+ on something u dont know just because some other person got it? my goodness. pls dont anyhow throw ur money, you want you can like GIVE IT TO ME and rest assure i will put it to quality spending.

- another ridiculous thing i heard was pple mistook portable dvd players for laptops. again pple who live in self denial

ok, i know i am being a complete bitch here but u see these things are absolutely ridiculous to me and if i dont share it i feeel like its being cooped up in me. haha. ok. i know i will get the karma someday and thats all for this post

Korea Trip 2008

KOREA TRIP 15062008-22062008

DAY 1 15062008

met the group at the airport at 0855pm (singapore time) for check-in
upon checking in, we roughly walked around the dufry shops at t1
den we took the skytrain to t2 to find shimin, who is working there
walked around t2 also
me, joy and lou got a shock when some guy at the dufry shop shouted "annyeong haseyo" to us
apparently, shimin told him that we were going to korea
so much for being secretly happy that we looked like koreans. haha
anw time passed super fast, it was time to go back to t1 for departure
took skytrain back and ran to our gate
upon stepping onto the plane, korea airlines
it was the start of korean language bombarbment
haha, even joy and lou couldn't understand what they were talking, so i am out of the picture

it was a night flight there
slept abit but not much although i felt extremely tired from the week's work and all
i guess it was all the hidden excitement and anxiety
in addition the flight there was FROUGHT with turbulences

anw korea airlines didnt have a small tv for you so i just listened to the music
watched abit of happy together on joy's viewty

DAY 2 17062008

arrived at the land of korea!
wasnt feeling very upbeat since i slept minimal on the plane but still the excitement was there
we landed at incheon airport, which is a top ranking airport in the world

anw i felt that incheon airport was greyish and dull
changi airport is still better to me because its more colourful
i am seriously honest

we took our baggage and met our tour guide outside
he looks like a typical korean guy, standing at 1.63m tall
name was Chang Yuan Chang
SUPER FUNNY NAME PLS
he wanted us to call him xiao zhang, in an attempt to feel young himself
anw, throughout our trip he was extremely hilarious and irritating at times. haha

the weather was quite cold when we landed, 18 degrees
i seriously wondered whether it was summer at all. haha
we got onto our tour bus and then xiao zhang started to blabber nonstop
there was another guy who accompanied us during the trip
his name was Oh Jong Wook i think, nt very sure but we called him xiao wu. haha
his job was to help with miscellaneous stuff and to take photgraphs of us
he was a super nice guy and we had like many funny moments with him
anw back to xiao zhang blabbering nonstop
he talked like some things we need to take note of and all and let us sleep, while we head to yongin everland
which is the place where the filmed "hong dou nu zhi lian", the show that jang nara acted in
yongin everland was situated on a mountain, xiao zhang said tha in the past, the theme park was a place where only the rich people could go since there was no transportation up there
only the rich who had cars could make their way there

weather was freezing cold too but xiao zhang said noon time will be 30 degrees so i took off my jacket and brought along my scarf only

we went inside at 0930 am (korea timing) and took a cable car ride down the hill
basically the theme park is divided into 2 parts

we got onto a bus that was enclosed and drove into the jungle where all the tigers, lions, elephants, giraffees and bears were

its a water ride which bring you through a 580m long jungle
the whole ride was damn funny because some parts you will get splashed with water
we were like trying to hide inside the canvas sheet so as to not get wet
we screamed and laughed throughout. haha. we totally enjoyed the ride ALOT

after which we went around seeing some other animals

seriously speaking we were all quite hungry since only ate a feeble meal on the plane

our first meal in korea

it was SUPERB (:

after lunch we made our way to the very lovely gardens in yongin
it was totally paradise

then it was our own free time
we decided to go challenge the new ride that was only opened this year in march
it was called T Express
Korea's First WOODEN Coaster
" Inclination of 77 Degrees, the highest in the world"
"Tremendous speed of 104km/h"
no words can describe how scared we actually felt
seriously, you will only know when you are at the actual scene
the queue was super long, we waited for like 30mins, hearing a zillion koreans screaming their lungs off
and then finally it was our turn

i was seriously slapping myself silently, like why did i subject myslef to this
and you realise that except for going down that almost 90 degress incline and screaming your lungs off, you pretty have nothing much to do
and i found the following video extremely amusing
how did the person fliming this stayed so CALM and didnt scream at all

this is the closest i can get to letting you experiencing the fear i had
bascially i screamed so much that when the ride was over, i couldnt close my mouth
because my mouth was open
and we were travelling on the coaster at such a high speed
the wind was blowing fiercely at me
my whole lips just dried or more like it froze
so i had a hard time closing my mouth after that
also when i got off the ride
my legs were SERIOUSLY wobbly please
couldnt walk straight at all
but we all felt proud that we conquered a monster. haha

after that we took the cable car back uphill
den we went for another ride which is famous in yongin everland
it was called eagle fortress
an ultra high-speed roller coaster
it was not as scary as t express of course
it was just super fast and twisty
just screamed normally but i enjoyed the thrillness of the ride

den we headed to the gift shops
i bought a deer hairband, will show you later
and then time was up, we had to get back to the tour bus and head to gimpo airport for our flight to jeju

arrived at gimpo airport with a slight hope that i may see dbsk/suju there but NO
haha
our flight was 0555pm korea time

super cool right, we actually got to climb up to the airplane!

the hotel shuttle bus came and picked us up
we arrived at Jeju Oriental Hotel
put down our stuff and took a walk to a restaurant for dinner

seriously the weather at jeju was SUPER CHILLY
i really wonder whether its summer at all and how cold it would be during winter
and it rained for the 2 days we were in jeju

dinner was steamboat but no pictures because i was extremely tired from the long day
but nonetheless it was super nice and eat until damn full
den we took a walk back to our hotel and stopped by a mart to buy water and tidbits for the night
we bathed and did the misc stuff and turned in early that night

DAY 3 17062008

we woke up super early like 6am korea time
didnt have breakfast at the hotel
we went to some restaurant by bus for abalone porridge
quite nice but it was quite different from my expectations

after breakfast we took a walk to the yongduam rock
basically xiao zhang said that jeju island was formed by a volcanic eruption
so what's so special about the yongduam rock is that it resembles a roaring dragon rising from the sea
must use a bit of your imagination to see that is resembles a dragon

i think if womean touch their noses they will bear a son, according to xiao zhang

then we headed to sungsan ilchulbong peak
when we got out from the bus, the wind was blowing so strong and weather was extemely misty that it looked like it was raining but actually it was not
and we began climbing the peak
seriously, its damn tiring to climb when the weather is cold
we resembles kim sam soon when she was climbing some mountain. haha
we were panting like mad
after climbing for some time, we saw some shelter and though that it was the peak alr
i was damn happy, climb super fast there only to realise that it was only a pit stop

and we looked up to see that there was another long flight of stairs up
me and lou decided to stop because we were panting MADLY and we were tired

but joy decided to continue climbing up
so we waited at the pit stop for her
in the meanwhile we spied at countless of koreans
and there was like a hoard of school boys
i think in korea schools they have excursion for the school kids to climb mountains in order to train their determination
actually i kind of like the way they educate the children although it will be quite tiring to climb the mountain
its seriously so much better than the fixed education here in singapore
but then again, the only mountain available in singapore is like the bukit timah hill? haha

after a very long time, joy finally came down
den we went down the mountain together and went to the shops
on impulse i bought like 7 packs of chocolates
HAHA, i bought those special chocolates that were only available in jeju
will try to let everybody i know try them

after that we went for ATV motor car ride
we did the ATV ride in the quite heavy rain
we were wrapped up from head to toe
and i think the ATV ride was more fun in the rain due to the mud splashing and the thrill you get from accelerating your vehicle
anw i liked the ATV ride alot like it convinced me that i will be a good driver! haha, secretly praising myself here

then it was lunch, KOREAN BBQ!

we ate black pork. my first time eating it but it was extremely delicious
basically you wrap the meat inside the vegetables with the sauce plus garlic and any other stuff u want to put
and you put the whole thing at a go into your mouth
the feeling you get is DAMN SHIOK pls
i think this was our most favourite meal throughout the trip
we ate ALOT until we were damn full man
haha

after lunch we went to Jeju Folk Village, a folk and history museum
it is also the filming site of Dae Jang Geum where Jang Geum spends her exile in Jeju learning medicine
personally i didnt watch Dae Jang Geum so i was not particularly fascinated with it
furthermore it was raining quite heavily so pictures here are minimal

dinner was Ginseng Chicken
VERY VERY overwhelming
cos its like a WHOLE chicken served to you
i ate until i almost wanted to puke
and i couldn't the chicken
tooo much
i think guys who can eat alot will lovee the portion that they gave

after dinner we headed back to the hotel
visited the E-Mart there, something like our singapore's Giant or Carrefour but seriously much bigger and more neatly arranged
bought some stuff there
checked out the haptic phone and the previous anycall phone that junsu/anyband endorsed
SUPER PRETTTY PLS
seriously if the phones are usable in singapore
i will seriously consider getting one for myself
they have so many colours la
and the price wise is quite reasonable too
but sadly to say, korean phones used CDMA instead of GPRS so they cannot be used in singapore

went back to the hotel
it was kind of early so we decided to camwhore with our animal hairbands and teddy bears that we bought

the bear that i bought! SO CUTE RIGHT!

DAY 4 18062008

ate breakfast at the hotel
den we headed to the jeju airport to prepare to fly to Busan
the wind that day was super strong
we had EXTREME difficulty walking straight towards the airplane seriously
i zonked out before the airplane took off
anw the flight was suppose to just be 50mins
so i slept
and then what feels like a VERY LONG TIME
to be exact, around 1 and a half hrs later
i woke up and found myself still on the plane
i was SHOCKED
and den i realise that due to STRONG WINDS, we couldnt land in Busan
so the pilot is trying to land us in Daegu
GOSH, first time in my entire life did i experience this
so we headed towards daegu
and due to BAD WEATHER again, we couldnt land
OHMYGOD. TERRIFYING PLS
so the pilot took us back to gimpo airport which is in seoul
the flight took FOREVER PLS
i was super scared that what if the plane ran out of oil
we went to more places den we were suppose to go
and the flight was SERIOUSLY bumpy
thank god we landed safely in gimpo
and our plans were disrupted
we were supposed to land in busan and go sightseeing at the donghwa temple plus some shopping at jung angro street
but we were back in seoul

and to sidetrack awhile
the tour group that we went with consisted of 30 people
initially our tour only had like 19 people
but last min they decided to merge 2 tour groups tgt, forming 30
the 19 of us took korean airlines
the other 11 took asiana airlines
so the 11 who took asiana airlines left jeju airport half an hour before us
they managed to land in Busan and went shopping at jung angro street
while for the 19 of us, we got through an extremely long and terrifying plane ride
and we were back in seoul
while the other group was in daegu
luckily xiao zhang arranged for us to have our lunch first, which was bibimbap and then take the KTS to daegu since there is no more flights available that day for us to fly to daegu
KTS is like korean bullet train
ok, look at the bright side, at least we got to sit the bullet train
not exactly very exciting because i zonked out on the train too. haha

den we headed to the daegu spa valley
which was the highlight of the day
but not exciting for me because i was bleeding
which according to the schedule i was not suppose to
so i didnt get to enjoy the spas
except for the doctor fish spa
so while the rest of the tour group went up to enjoy
i sat at the doctor fish spa pool myself and let those little fishies eat my dead skin
SERIOUSLY IT WAS DAMN ITCHY CAN!
and you carnt move or else the fishies will go away
almost wanted to faint there because there was only my leg and all the fishies just started attacking my leg like free

but his english was limited
he said SOME english and continued in korean
which of course i didnt understand
so in the end we did sign language. HAHAHA

and that day was our tour guide xiao zhang's birthday
he said that he wanted to feel happy so changed our initial hotel which was 5 stars to a six star hotel
which is Daegu Inter-Burgo Hotel
the hotel was GOOOOOOD
defnitely 6 stars man!

DAY 5 19062008

had breakfast at the hotel
took some random pictures before we left

then we headed to the donghwa temple which we missed yesterday due to the terrible flight

i dunnnoe whether you all can see this

koreans like to stack stones, if you take a random stone and stack on the pile
i think it will bring you good luck or good results

after that we headed to the muju tirol resort where we enjoyed grass sledding and we will be staying at the hotel for the night
grass sledding is extremely fun and addictive!

we got like extremely wet
so we got to our rooms and change first before we headed for dinner

and because during winter people will come and ski
the toilet bowl is not an ordinary toilet bowl

but it has like functions that keep the seat hot
so during winter you can bake ur cake on a warmth seat

when you buy things at the mart right, they dont give you plastic bags one
if you want it, you have to pay for them
and then u can return the plastic bag to them and get back ur money later
the money they collect is actually the cost of burying the plastic bags and all
so cool right but sometimes it can be troublesome when you buy alot of stuff

after dinner we checked in at seoul garden hotel
me and joy went out again to buy some groceries
i drank starbucks green tea frapp
which was much more expensive than singapore
but i decided to give it a try and see the taste and arrived at the conclusion that it tastes the same so don't drink starbucks in korea pls. ahha
den we had some crazy idea of calling up junsu's father pizza shop but didnt work out in the end
slept quite late
was awoken at around 4am
joy vomitted so i gave her some pills
den continued sleeping till morning

DAY 7 21062008

it was a super busy day in seoul
morning we had traditional chinese breakfast of porridge and side dishes
very normal
after breakfast we headed to the Ginseng Monopoly Showroom
xiao zhang manage to get us to the main outlet which he says is much better than the chain outlets but nah wasn't interested in getting ginsengs
no pictures allowed at the showroom so haha, carnt show you any of the good ginsengs
i bought like 5 boxes of citrus tea and 6 big packs of seaweed there
haha, yes i was insane
i bought so much until it was enough to pack it up in a box
pls applaud me once again

after that we went down the building for kimchi-making session

in our aprons all ready to make kimchi

that's xiaozhang btw. and sidenote. he only wore that nice that day because we had to go to the ginseng monopoly showroom. its some rule or sth la. other days he was in polo's and khakis pls. haha

joy doesnt look sick at all. if i were here, i dont think i can even force a smile. lol

after that we got to wear hanbok, traditional korean clothing

we then went to the Changdukgong Palace

landed myself with many cosmetics products

4 tees from BANC, i just couldnt resist myself
you see, dbsk and suju endorsed this brand before

den we headed to COEX Mall, an underground shopping complex
went BERSEK there AGAIN
we were only allowed 50mins this time
but guess what
i got myself 2 shirts from Polham
the 1 of the shirt yunho wore before
and the 2 shirts are in the movement to support eco friendly
you should know the shit
but they are super cute
and then i got myself a tee from Buckaroo, since its like minnie's fave brand now i must get myself something from there too right!
and then i got myself a logo tee from Evisu, a brand that siwon endorsed before
i even helped myself to a magazine of siwon. hahaha
once again applaud me for being able to buy 4 shirts when allowed with 50mins only

i was quite sad that there was not enough time cos apparently i think there was a CD shop and i would have bought some albums there if i had more time

then we went to Lotte World, the filming site of Stairway to Heaven

after that we went to sit the monorail that goes one round around lotte world
lotte is split into indoor and outdoor parks actually

ONLY 13. oh yes. haha. only suju fans will know what it means. took this scribbling while queuing for the monorail.

we left lotte world at like 9plus at night
headed to our hotel which is the Seoul Grand Hilton Hotel
GOSH, damn pretty pls. it's definitely worth the 6 stars
but sadly enough we didnt get to enjoy the hotel much because a few of us on the tour group went for more late night shopping
and yes we took our first taxi ride in Seoul
xiaozhang said that taxi rides in seoul is not for the faint hearted
and HE WAS RIGHT
the meter jumped like nobody business
and we hopped on the high end cab, like ther merz cab in spore
so it was more expensive than the normal ones
and me joy lou and another guy called min thought that the cab driver drove like a turtle although i did ask the cab driver to drive fast in korean
HMMMMMMM
haha, anw we went back to dongdaemun to shop

2nd time at dongdaemun wasnt really that fascinating
din buy as much stuff
i splurged on an expensive hairband
one top that is quite expensive but it looks unique
face rollers, hope that using them will make my face smaller. haha
and a pair of sneakers that i like alot
anw the sneakers range in korea is like WOW
everlast there is damn pretty la, spore's designs are too boring seriously
but its also bloody expensive i cannnot afford
so i bought this pair of sneakers with star designs, cost around $40+ quite worth the deal

took cab back at around 2+
this time we hopped onto a normal cab
and then we realise why there is a price difference
firstly, the normal cab didnt on the aircon
it was natural aircon
secondly, the normal cab was blasting techno music
the merz cab we took played like slow music
thirdly, the normal cabdriver broke almost all the traffic rules as possible and drove SUPER recklessly
lou was like complaining that she was having a headache from the techno music and unstable driving

anw on our way back to the hotel we encountered a strike so we had to take a detour
eye opener like saw some people protesting far away or sth

ok back to lou and the techno music
the cab driver is like in love w techno
so he kept blasting
den we came to this traffic red light and the music stop
lou was like "let me enjoy this moment of peace"
haha, so i kind of closed my eyes since i was super tired
den after what seems forever, i opened my eyes and find us to be at the same traffic light
surprised, i said " dont you think that the traffic light is taking FORVERE?"
and at the same time i finished my sentence, the techno music began AGAIN
lou was like blaming me for starting the techno music again
i laugh until i die la. haha
i dont think u will find this funny but if u were that at that moment, it is damn funny la pls

DAY 8 22062008

was woken up by Summer Dream
we had a nightmare of dunnoe how many rounds of Summer Dream (song by dbsk)
cos apparently joy forgot to off her alarm and went to the toilet, instead she snoozed or sth
me and lou were still in bed and imagine some song ringing for dunnoe how many times at like 6plus in the morning
we seriously had a nightmare from the song

anw we dragged ourselves out of bed, got dressed and den went for breakfast
at the breakfast place we bought the korean utensils

den we went to the amethyst factory
place where they sell purple gems
i was seriously tempted BUT I DIDN'T BUY
pls applaud me for resisting the temptation
even when the person offered me a SUPER GOOOD discount

den xiaozhang brought us to the faceshop again
where i splurged on MORE cosmetics
bought like 30 packets of masks
10 packets of eye masks
1 purple mascara
1 purple stick eyeshadow
if we stayed longer i may buy down the whole shop

den we went to Sincheon market
which is nu ren jie, place where u find mostly women shopping
again i bought myself stuff
2 bags, 1 fake longchamp haversack and 1 plain bag for next sem use
1 pair of suspenders
and a dress
anw the dresses at korea are all damn expensive
all like $90 and above
i saw this dress that was quite unique and going for $30+
so i immediately bought it
haha
wanted to get albums but sigh there wasnt the ones i wanted

anw some more fangirlism here, something i saw at sincheon

after that we went to this big grocery store
supposedly to buy tidbits
but i didnt see anyone that i fancy
there was free service of packing ur stuff into boxes
so i packed all my loot into one huge box
u will be surprised at how big the box was and it contained all my loot

den finally it was time to say goodbye to korea
we left for Incheon airport

RAH, really i was reluctant to leave korea

we took a photo with xiao wu, our photographer before we left
see how conveniently we ignored xiaozhang
xiao wu was way nicer
anw, he took photos for us and made it nicely into albums
i bought from him my photos for like S$120
VERY EXP I KNOW i even had to borrow money because i didnt have enough
but he did a super good job on the photos and he was super nice to us
so i bought them

i was damn sad la
so near yet so far seriously

in conclusion korea was damn good
loved the food alot
alot people got sick of korean food towards the end but i didnt
haha
and i manged to converse in korean! there were some funny episoides but still i enjoyed talking in korean to the koreans! haha

pre-korea days

the pre-korea days

korea trip has been paid and everything is more or less settled
except for the packing
started like listing down the things to bring ytd and i realise its quite alot since it will be a 8 days trip or technically 7 days since we will be flying at night
will have to gather all the things by tmr since i will be working on thurs, fri, sat and sun
yes, in case u were wondering I AM WORKING ON SUNDAY
like RAHHHHHH
sunday i will go to t1 dufry and work from 12pm-4pm
after which i will go back home
bathe and eat dinner
and then take my barangs and report at t1 at 855pm
i know its VERY WELL DONE
basically i had this sucky arrangement because rena couldnt work on sunday and i couldnt take leave
my boss insisted that i AT LEAST work for half a day
so i would have to finish most of my packing by wednesday, which is tmr

and i am kind of excited for korea
i think the excitement level will increase as the days get nearer
like i am going to the land where my bfs are! haha
and then i get to wear stuff that i may not dare to wear in spore
and i get to visit cool places and of course eat CHEAP korean food
and hopefully i can do some shopping there too
HOHO
and i am seriously not hoping of bumping into any of the bfs there since i know the chances are like extremely low. i am seriously contented with what i will be doing during the trip
haha
so wait for my post when i get back from korea :D

anw, exam results was released last thurs
i am thankful for my grades
there were not fantastically well nor bad
but i think i am quite happy for it la
yup

been spazzing quite a bit on dongbang this week too bcos of the dream concert
haha, i think they did a good job and esp minnie who looks as hot as ever :D

week 5&6 of holidays

week 5&6 of holidays

worked on tues, thurs and sunday
i am starting to get a kick out of being a promoter
the feeeling when you get a sales is just AWESOME
on thurs i got 9 sales and sunday i got 8 sales
some showing off here but i was damn happy la!

anw wed i went out with lou to get ALL BLACK shoes
was wearing this canvas shoes with some white things in front and i got scolded by the grumpy female supervisor so i had to go get an all black pumps or sth
so in the end i got a pair of black pumps, a pair of blue pumps and 2 pairs of skinnys
AHEM, some splurging here
anw the black pumps i got was ugly i admit
i was actually quite reluctant to buy one
was roaming around fep and attracted to other stuff except for buying the black pumps
so in the end out of EXTREME desperation i got this pair of black pumps which is kind of hideous
and i got TEASED by my colleagues at the airport like freee

friday was yet another splurging day
what happened to me when i said i won't spend for the rest of the month

anw i had to get a new scent because mine ran out
i was contemplating between Shine by ferragamo or Diamonds by EA or Ralph by RL
anw the diamonds scent turned out to be not really nice or rather i don't like it
in the end i got the Ralph scent since i've liked it since forever
quite an old scent i know
Shine is actually nice too i think i will get the miniatures from airport
anw i also bought the Rock shower gel from RL
and i received a complementary Blue moisturizing gel from RL and some samples of the diamond scent
some scent overload here. haha

friday and saturday i rotted at home
i carnt remember what i did but i rmb time passed damn slowly

sunday was the last day of the roadshow
rena came at the end to help me pack up
we became quite high after that
went to the bk in the boarding area and took a few pictures
and den we went with 2 other colleagues to sing overnight kbox
anw i think the kbox buffet sucks
it is seriously quite bad
but then the price of the buffet is the same for the 2 drinks + tidbits
so i think that buffet is more worth it
the bad thing is u only get 1 drink and u will damn thirsty throughout

cabbed home at like 6plus am in the morning
reached home, bathed and then zonked out

vivien's sms woke me up at around 4pm on monday aft
met the gang at dhoby for dinner
went to waraku to visit xiaoyuan
den i think i suggested this crazy idea of going to kallang leisure park to bowl
bowling at night is expensive
its like $4 per game!
gosh
and KLP is damn ulufied at night so a warning to those who have the impulse to go there at night
go only if you are driving
there is basically no cab there and no good public transport
haha

tuesday was quite a shocking day
i woke up in the morning feeling super bored
i was contemplating whether to visit the salon to do my hair
i was seriously only thinking of rebonding my hair as usual
but my mother suggested the crazy idea of perming my hair
and i seriously thought my hair was not long enough
anw so i decided to visit the salon
and surprisingly the person told me my hair was long enough!
all along i thought my hair was still not long enough cos i had this impression you must have hair that is damn long like touching ur waist kind to perm ur hair
SO YES I PERMED MY HAIR
HAHAHA
and surprisngly enough i don't think i look very bad as i thought i would be
ok this is subjective
but i think i did get a visual shock from my new look
have to take time to get used to it
anw my hair is more curly than the look i want because the person said the starting will be more curly
aft a few wash den it will be nicer
but i seriously i dont think i look very bad
haha, enough said

week 4 of holidays

week 4 of holidays

won't blog day by day this time but rather by events

1) old clothes selling session w rena
went to her house with my big bag of clothes
toook pictures with them
actually i find that the clothes that i want to sell aren't that bad
except some la. haha
pls don't ask me why i want to sell them then
i have no idea why but i just won't wear them anymore
so instead of wasting my wadrobe space
i shall sell them off and earn some quick buck out of them
when the website is done shall adv here

2) teoheng session

pictures will do the job

3) 2 day work at carrefour
its a last min arrangement for me to go work at carrefour for 2 days - thurs & fri
it was the ultimate horror of my working experiences
my advice to all is - NEVER WORK AT CARREFOUR
the place is horrible, surroundings so boring, irresponsible workers
i totally did nonsense jobs and met nonsensical people
but some of the experience were rather interesting and funny, come to think of it
i plainly earned the hourly basic pay w/o the commission

4) weekend work at airport roadshow
i extremely love working at the airport
the people there are nice
i get to meet people from all sorts of country
i am starting to love british and austrailian people because they are nice (:
haha, i am saying so because my main customers have been these two types la
colleagues are nice also but i think i have to talk to them more. haha
ok, other than being able to sell the mp3s and talking to people
other times are just plain boring la
which work is not boring you tell me
so i will basically stone and spy on people
i also become a photographer like ytd got 3 people ask me to take photos for them
but i still like working at the airport la. haha
its such a nice place
anw i met this creative promoter who is able to brainwash apple lovers
i am starting to hate apple, esp ipod ever since i started this job
seriously i understand how lousy the ipod is in terms of function except for its more appealing appearance
so i shall also try to learn from that promoter how to brainwash apple lovers
haha i think my job has made me a little bit more IT savvy. lol

ok, have been working consecutively for 4 days
most of the time i am standing so my legs were RATHER tired
today is my break day, tmr will be working again
oh and another thing i love abt the airport job is
my working hour is 3pm-12am
and i am allowed to take a cab home at night with expenses covered
i like cabbing :D
haha

alright. i think there is nothing much
i seriously cannnot wait for the korea trip to come!
OH, and i spoke in korean to a korean guy this week too. haha RANDOM!

week 3 of holidays

week 3 of holidays

monday
star training at the airport!
woke up at like 7plus in the morning when the previous night i slept at around 2-3am
gosh, never woke up so early before ever since the holidays started
met rena at the airport and report at the training venue
well, i shall skip the training details
it was mostly boring and nonsensical
training ended at 430pm
we were suppose to feel tired but guess what
we boarded the mrt and headed down to vivocity! (:
we took quite some photos that day
some camwhoring on the train

first thing we did when we reach vivocity was to go check out armani exchange
there's a bag that i've been eyeing at like b4 exams but didnt buy it
now i've been searching it and the orchard outlet doesnt have it anymore
so wanted to check out the vivo outlet
well it didnt have it either. so i was officially very sad
so we headed down to charles&keith because rena wanted to buy sandals cos her nails were too long and wearing sneakers is killing her
she bought her sandals and we looked around the shops e.g. samsung, mu-ee
den we headed down to the killer shop of the day
RIVER ISLAND

you see river island never fails to excite me with its clothes
its just nice and unique and what's more the quality is good, minus those sheer clothes
we spent almost 3 hours there
almost on the verge of devouring the whole shop
there was so many clothes that i wanted to buy
and whats more is that vivocity outlet has my sizes!
i think we made N trips down to the changing rooms with mountainous pile of clothes
and the shop assistant just came now and then and asked if we needed help with handling the clothes
so the conclusion was i blew like $339 there, price is almost similar to the AX bag that i wanted to buy but could not. haha
well, shall show you guys my buys

i wanted to get this dress too. its like bimbotic the way i love it but unfortunately the zip is kinda faulty so i decided not to bcos i certainly didnt want to like get stuck w the zip

rena on the other hand also blew like $200+ nearing $300 at river island
she got this extremely cute yellow button dress, sequin shirt and a skirt

and having spent that much in a day, and for me having spent so much ever since exams ended
we had to go budget so we ate dinner at food court
after that we went home

tuesday
carnt really remembered what happen that day but i think my f21 loot came
was extremely happy with my new stuff
and i think i finished reading jodi picoult's my sister keeper
i took super long for this book cos i was busy
anw i cried at the end because the ending was just too sad
its a super goood book, those who havent read it should go read it
and there's going to be a movie for it
can't wait. it's a must watch
and then i seriously cannnot remember what happened for the rest of the day. prolly nothing impt

wednesday
early morning i went for a body checkup with my mum
my mum insist that i do a body checkup yearly now to ensure i am healthy
so the conclusion was i need to draw blood
oh, the night before i couldnt eat like after 9pm since i had to draw blood
so i was like extremeley hungry and took very long to sleep
anw i conclude that i hate to draw blood
it has always been a nightmare for me and the main reason is not because i am afraid of blood but because my blood vessels are always extremely hard to find
some brief account of my drawing blood incidents

1) when i was primary 6 i had pneuomia - not sure whether it is this and how to spell but whatever
had to like insert the drip thing in my hand - i am seriously not good with medical terms
so i remembered i was at mount elizabeth
and the SENIOR nurse inserted the needle into the vein on my backhand
i was like drowsy cause i had fever for like continuously 1 week alr
just when i thought everything was done
she said "oops, i inserted into the wrong vein" and then she just drew the needle out of my vein
and the aftermath was
i saw my blood splattered on the floor and i tell you, i was seriously on the verge of fainting alr
LUCKILY, the second time she inserted it into the right vein
and the scar of the wrongly inserted needle still remain there

2) the worst incident of drawing blood happened when i went to SGH to have my blood drawn for some test before my ACL operation
i think i have blogged about this before but whatever. i shall just blog it down again
so the nurse who is supposedly to be very experienced since she works at the blood drawing centre
she draws thousands of blood before i'm sure
so we started with my left hand
and guess what
she poked into my bone instead of inserting it into the vein to draw blood
its was seriously fucking painful
and then she tried my right hand
i carnt rmb how many times she tried on each hand la
the conlusion was she had to draw from my backhand instead since the veins are more visible
and i think because people seldom draw blood from backhand
the nurse doesnt really know how to do it
so it was another painful experience
and i remembered i cried there

ok, back to the recent drawing blood incident
it should be the best so far because the doctor is skilled
it was not reallly painful
anw he couldnt find my veins so he had to draw from my backhand
it wasnt that painful so phew
then my mum told me next time can just forget abt donating blood
since i've been quite enthusiastic about it
she says the nurse my prolly just die finding ur veins la
ok, i agree with that
after drawing blood i had the flu injection too
since i will be going korea soon my mum says its better to be immuned
anw the injection caused my left hand to ache like shit

in the evening i met rena again at tiong bahru
anw we quitted the starhub job and got ourselves new jobs
sony ericsson hp promoters
so we had to go down for training on the phones
it was like another IT lesson
all the specs and technical stuff
many things to rmb
i never felt so flooded with info b4

after training we went back to tiongbahru
i bought 2 dvd
1) The Legend/ 太王四神記/태왕사신기/Tae Wang Sa Shin Gi
2) The Time Between Dog and Wolf

anw so far i have watched finish The Legend

initially i had second thoughts about like buying the video
but it was kind of cheap since the dvd costs only $23.90
so i decided to give the drama a chance
and it was extremely nice
i liked it alot
firstly the ost is nice of course because the title song is sang by dbsk
the other songs were also nice
and there were quite alot of touching scences which made me cry
which i didnt expect
yup, i know the commercial on tv sucks
but the drama is really nice
should go watch it

now i am watching the time between dog and wolf, acted by lee junki
shall give my review after i watch finish

thursday
met jingting in the afternoon
we caught accuracy of death

love it! japanese movies are always nice
i like the pace of the movie and how it portrayed life
yeah, so you all should watch it too!

after the movie we went to wisma because there was a topshop,topman,warehouse & miss selffridge closed preview sale for topshop members/UOB card holders
the crowd was just extremely overwhelming
the queue into topshop was just super long
so we queued at miss selffridge
was super crowded
but manage to find nice stuff among the chaos
i bought like a pair of jean shorts and jingting got a crotchet black top
we queued like almost half and hour just to pay
and by the time we were done w miss self fridge, it was almost 9
the sale was only 7pm-9pm
so we went to eat dinner
den head back to check out topshop
well, i saw some nice stuff but didnt buy because the queue in topshop was still extremely long even after 9 it just surrounded the whole shop and the opened 2 counters
so we went home

friday
met rena at bugis
we went to check out haji lane
and pardon for my suagu-ness
it was my first time to haji lane
i've heard about it but just not sure where is it you see
anw vintage stuff there are super nice and super expensive also
i saw super nice stuff but didnt get them because i decided that bangkok has such stuff
yeah, and i think i prolly will be going to bangkok end of july
HAHA, get the supply of clothes for the new semester
LOL
anw we headed to raffles city after that
and erm we visited river island again
rena bought this pair of high waisted shorts on sale
and i bought this jacket i have been eyeing for some time too
it was on sale, UP $159, now $85
and guess what i noticed some mild scratches
seriously super mild it can be only visible under light and even under light u have to stare closely to see them
of course i complained to the staff there
and the manager decided to give me at $60 since it was the last piece of my size
and of course, i bought it :D
at night we went to hougang to return the starhub stuff and quit our jobs
den we went to tampines mall
and i conclude i am a lazy road director i keep making rena going in circles
anw TM is wow, it changed so much. i havent been there for a long time
haha

saturday
the legend marathon in the day
met s46 people for dinner
had dinner at nydc
was nice seeing them after a super long time

after dinner went to waiyip's place for mahjong
had supper from 85 bak chor mee
anw, i won 30cents from mahjong, super lame but i would have lost money if i didnt win big at the end
just's dad came and fetch us home at like 7plus in the morning
i was extremely tired
reached home, bathe and then zonk out
decided not to join the others at the chalet because i wanted to continue watching the legend =x oops

ok going to rena's house tmr to sell my old clothes
was tidying my clothes today and i got this LONG LONG LONG lecture from my mum
and i was actually amazed that i have hidden clothes that i long forgotten about
well, time for the old clothes to go and time for new ones to come
haha, actually i think i can only start shopping again next month when i go to korea since i blew quite alot this month alr
yup

alright, shall go and watch the time between dog and wolf
will go back to reading after finishing this drama!

monday
went to the gym in the morning
i was quite shocked when i reached the gym that day because half of the gym changed
there were new equipment
i was actually quite happy at the start
tried out the new bicycle set
its quite nice and more comfortable
den i went to the personal workout machine
only to find that i have a hard time figuring out how to use them
its more complicated than the old one
and the new leg press thing is spoilt
disappointed
i went to like brisk walk for 30mins and then went home

evening time went to chinatown with joy, lou and her mum
booked the korea trip
super excited can
so i should be leaving for korea from 15 june to 22 june
HOHO
should be because the tour needs 10 pple to go, currently has 9 pple
but i think it should be confirm
korea is sucha fun place can. haha
yup, and the more exciting thing abt the korea trip is...
DBSK, SUJU, SNSD will be holding some triple concert at korea on 15th june
although i will be flying off on 15th june's night
i mean the concert will prolly be at night
and hopefully dbsk decides to go to japan, because they would have to go to gimpo airport instead of the incheon airport
and i will be going to gimpo airport on 16th june's night
i mean the whole thing is

wednesday
MAJOR JOB SEARCHING DAY

met rena at raffles place
we went to recruit express
anw, i conclude that recruit express sucks to the core and jobfinders out there pls mark my words
its super irritating that u email ur resume to them for this particular job that u saw on jobstreet/jobscentral/jobsdb/classifieds
its common sense that u want that job right
but hell no, they will call you up once they receive ur resume and offers you some other SIMILAR JOB, just NEVER the job that u applied for
and what i mean by OFFER means that they will send your resume to that particular employer
which is useless because most of the time
you will receive a call a few days later regarding another job OFFER
its seriously an endless wait
and they make you do stupid things that waste ur time because they die also want you to go down to the office for some interview
ask some questions
but they just never get the job for you
which is why i conclude that recruit express sucks

yes, after visiting recruit express, we went to have lunch at lau pat sat
after that we walked to the esplanade area
sat at the bus stop and started calling the numbers on classifieds
we even went to the singapore flyer which was nearby
cos we saw them employing for f&b and being quite desperate, we decided to go check it out only to know they are employing for popeye and hell no, i dont want to work in a fast food restaurant
we landed ourselves with interviews for starhub promoter at hougang mall at night

then rena went for her tution at newton
i went down to orchard to meet lou and mf who were shopping there
bought dear boys from kino, the new book is finally out
shopped around fep once again
i saw some shoes which were quite nice
may want to visit there again to try them out
i was just too lazy that day

when rena ended her tution, we met at tiong bahru mrt station
went down to this place for interview for this job at the airport
yup, and we got it
suppose to be for one person only
but since our schedules cannnot fully accomodate the work schedule
the person decided to let both of us work
like in shifts
its quite complicating i shant blog here
so i am quite excited because i am finally going to work at the airport!

den we went down to hougang mall for the starhub interview
we took the job too
its actually doing door-door sales at hdbs at hougang area
i know its quite xin ku but i just decided to give it a try
it would be seriously quite different from an office job
and most of my past jobs are office jobs so yup, a whole new experience

had quick dinner at ljs
den had training for the starhub thing
by the end of the day
i was SUPER DUPER exhausted
but i was happy that after much pains
i landed myself with jobs
but yet i am still relatively free on some days
so at least i am working but not working THAT hard and i have time to do my stuff like reading books and surfing the net and blah blah

thursday
suppose to work at night for starhub but i decided to give it a miss cos i need to rest after so many gruelling days and rena is not working too cos she have tennis training
so i spent my day lazing at home
reading, watching youtube, went out to pp with my mum and walked around
just plain slacking
oh, and the anycall cfs came out in full
enjoyed them cos it was so funny and cute
makes me want the anycall haptic phone EVEN more
definitely want to go touch it when i go korea. haha

friday
was late for work, cos i didnt calculate the travelling time properly
forgot to factor in the rush hour jam
but lucky the supervisor was nice pple
so me and rena started our jobs
it was seriously quite xin ku because it was HOT
and most hdb families are chinese speaking
and my chinese is actually quite rusty when it comes to PROMOTING
haha
anw the thing is we got zero sales
but they said it was normal for newcomers
and we seriously dunnnoe alot of stuff yet
so we will see how it goes

went for supper at chomp chomp
my first time there. haha. abit slow but its inaccessible w/o a car right
ate carrot cake, oyster cake, satay beehoon, egg beancurd w pearls
and drank sugar cane juice
haha, sinful sinful
i seriously think that i am having good food almost everyday ever since exams ended
at this rate, i am going to turn into a whale

celebrated lishan's belated birthday at teo heng!
i had some songs block at teo heng
couldnt decide what i wanted to sing most of the time
but still it was cheap and i received this discount card
next time i go, sing for 3 hours but only need to pay 2 hours money

the price is pretty reasonable too
and i think the shop is opened by native korean

heard SNSD but they didnt play dongbang & suju. rah
we ordered kimchi chigae, VERY VERY SPICY ddeok bok gi and seafood jeon (pancake)
the chigae and the jeon was nice :D
the shop had normal ddeok bok gi but u know the normal ddeok bok gi is not reall spicy
so we decided to try out the VERY VERY SPICY ddeok bok gi
only to be horrified at how spicy the taste is

looks can be deceiving seriously. the ddeok bok gi doesnt look that spicy from the picture right
or does it? it didnt look spicy to me seriously, until i had my first bite and my tongue got burnt

the nice and friendly seafood jeon. haha

anw, the total was around $36, each person $12, quite reasonable right
compared to that korean shop in hereen
this is way better

after that we made our way to bugis
ATTEMPTED TO SHOP AGAIN
but u know its a saturday night and how crowded bugis village can be
i saw some nice stuff but due to the crowd i am too lazy to try

anw i havent visited bugis in a super duper long time
i carnt even rmb when is my last visit
and i found this nice candy shop at the basement which sells cute candy
what's so good about this candy shop is that i think the shop owner likes DBSK too!
hahahaha, cos it kept playing dbsk's songs
i was quite reluctant to leave the shop. haha
i wouldnt mind working there seriously
i probably will enjoy myself all day long

went to the food court for desert
didn't know the food court shifted upstairs to the kino level
the new food court is quite nice
yup

after that took bus home
attempted to read but i was too tired i closed my book after one chapter

ok, today is nothing much
work later at night

tmr will be quite exciting because we will be going down for this star training at the airport
whoever who works at the airport will have to go through that first
haha
i am seriously an airport lover, even the training excites me

anw i am super proud of my suju boys
they did this 70km marathon for charity
started on friday night and ended on saturday i think, haha. i wish i had nothing to do and i could watch tvant at home all day, follow them throughout the 70km
eunhyuk, shindong, sungmin, eeteuk, kangin and yehsung participated in the marathon
yehsung was hospitalised halfway cos he injured his leg
i mean i was never really a yehsung lover but i still feel quite sad for him
super proud of eunhyuk because he was quite energetic throughout the race i think
from all the pictures that i saw
still smiling happily like usual although i think he's tired
and some parts he danced while jogging/brisk-walking

70km is like no joke can
that time the cycling from east coast to changi was abt 20km only leh
somemore we cycled
they use their feet
yup, and i am proud that they are doing this for charity!

and if i have the ability
i want to go follow them tooo

oh, and dbsk just finished their taiwan concert yesterday
dunnnoe today have anot
oh, and did i mention there was this taiwan fan girl who was in a coma and was suppose to become a vegetable
and her mum played dbsk songs all day and night long to her
and the fan girl woke up, and was not vegetable

i think this week was quite korean-fied

has been quite happening

monday
class outing at marina square
had waraku, my first time, its not bad

watched doomsday
which was NOT NICE AT ALL
i seriously came to the conclusion that i do not like gory or scary movies
there was just too much blood flying across the screen
and not to mention i was watching between fingers or maybe behind the flap of my bag
which is seriously a waste of money and i learned nothing out of it except how to be more violent or more disgusting

after that
me and vivien made our way to orchard
ATTEMPTED to shop at fep
but i was seriously quite lost and didnt know what i wanted to get
walked around taka
i got myself a pair of mango white shorts
out of desperation that i didnt buy anything
ate at mos, sat there for damn long and had a long talk
and went home

tuesday
woke up early in the morning
took 36 to city hall with my mum
our mission was to move my stuff back from hall
stopped at raffles city cos i wanted to check out this kate spade bag that i saw on friday
which i kind of like
but then my mum thinks its not worth paying $600 for some patent bag
she said its not even leather
FINE
so we took train to jurong point
had lunch at bento box
den took 179 to hall
well, we started packing my stuff
and i couldnt help but be horrified at how much barang i have
i seriously thought i already moved back quite some stuff during the exam weeks
like i brought back my sports shoes
some other small nonsense
but i realise the major stuff are still in hall
i seriously got a shock when i open my drawers and saw so many clothes and stuff inside
like what on earth was i thinking!
there was seriously too much nonsense
i threw away quite some stuff because i was too lazy to bring them back and i figured i wont be using them anyway
i think i had dunnnoe how many bags of stuff and i almost died just moving them downstairs to flag for a cab
and if that wasnt enough
we forgot about the weather
seriously the weather nowadays is out to kill you
it would be a miracle already if you can stay at home and NOT SWEAT without even turning on the fan or the aircon
yes, so me and my mum we were sweating profusely and stuck with all the bags of nonsense

when we reached home
we were positively exhuasted
i roughly shoved the nonsense to one corner
i shall pack them on a later date
and i went to bathe and toook an afternoon nap

at night i had a little forever 21 spree myself
haha, i found out how to ship the stuff alr
so if this spree is successful
HOHO, i shall no longer join sprees unless i have to
anw i got myself an antique paisley tunic, a striped halter vest, a patent waist belt, a dark romance cuff, a stretchy mod bracelet, a black rose charm bracelet and a padded metallic wallet
all for USD82, i am seriously quite happpy
the dropping US exchange rate is making me deliriously happy
now lets hope that the items arrive sooon (:

wednesday
cycling day at east coast
i walked from my house to macdonalds under the BLAZING sun during noon time
i almost died from the heat
ok, met the class people
rented our bikes and off we go
i don't even want to think when was the last time i exercised
i carnt even remember

we cycled towards the changi airport direction
stopped at bedok jetty for pictures

oh boy, look at the blazing sun
it was definitely not my camera's flash
but then again, i think the pictures look nice because it was bright and sunny
how ironic

ok, we cycled till the sailing centre area
and we were dying of thirst
needed to get water
and stanley suggested going to changi village
at first i thought it was nearer since we already cycled quite a distance from macs
BUT
I WAS WRONG
we turned into this long strech of never ending lane
and eugene said
8km more!
i almost fainted
but then, there was no turning back
we just have to cycle to changi village and get our drinks
i kept thinking about the coconut waiting for me at changi village
my only drive seriously

and after much pains
we finally reached changi village!

extremely high that we can go get our drinks

so we got our drinks and ate there
den we cycled back to east coast
the journey back wasnt that bad because the sun had set
and we each have our bottles of watter, once bitten twice shy
the only fact that our butt hurts

finally, we reached back macs
seriously what a workout
i couldnt even walk normally at first when i dismounted from my bike

went to eat dinner at parkway
den i went home
bathed and i realised something horrifying
I GOT TANNED
NO NO NO
ok, i know last time i used to like myself to be tan and all
like the sun was my best friend and everything
but now, things have changed
i don't want to get tanned because of several reasons
the first ever dumbest reason is the dong bang boys and suju boys arent tanned
i will look weird if i ever take a photo with them i am tanned
FINE, i know its a dumb reason but it makes sense alright
secondly, UV rays are extremely harmful now i dont want to get skin cancer
thirdly, i dun like uneven tan lines
when i saw the tan line of my slipper
it was as if the panic button was hit
faster apply milk lotion in attempt to make the tan go away
rah
i still wanted to like go kayak but now NO
i probably will become so tan that it will take zillion years to reverse the situation
i have no idea why my skin absorbs the sun like freee

yeah and i read a little bit of my book and plunge to bed

its labor day!
haha, decided to laze around at home and read my book
yup, i bought change of heart by jodi picoult
its reallllly a superb book
i really like jodi picoult books i think i am going to devour them all in the holidays

and there was many parts that i find intriguing
oh and there's this part which perfectly describes my life right now

i feel so outdated of current news affair
not that i actively keep myself updated or what
but i am seriously even more OUTDATED than i was ever since i entered uni
i think right now i can answer a OB question better rather than some current news affair question

anw, the book is super good
its quite sad
but what i like about the book is the words are quite big so i dont have to squint my eyes
hahaha
yup, and i finished reading the book on labor day
which left me with practically nothing much to do on friday

morning i caught videos of the dongbang boys
oh i forgot to mention during the week i watched the anycall haptic cf
which made me quite sad the first time watching it
want to know why

rah! but alright i admit that the dong bang boys look cute together with SNSD
so i shant complain, its just a CF
anyway the CF makes me want to change my phone to that haptic phone
if it ever makes its way to singapore
but then again, i dont think i am a huge fan of touch screen phones

which is also super pretty but black is really an all-time classic

it doesnt work for me and i don't think i can carry them off well either
i will look like some aunty or grandma
topshop had this 20% discount thingy
but i couldnt really find things to buy
we actually went into bookshops 3 TIMES

i bought my sister's keeper from jodi picoult
i know its an old book but i haven't read it before

my last hope was river island
saw quite a few nice stuff on last friday after stats
so yesterday when i stepped into RI
i was quite happy
but then my happiness just KEPT DROPPING
first, the snooppy shirt that i always wanted didnt have my size
it only has the extreme like size 6 and size 14

and then that kept happening
stuff that i like JUST didnt have my size
i was quite fed up i decided to go try size 14 only to make myself even more disappointed
and i saw like pink skinnies
i was quite tempted to buy so i can wear them in korea
but lou STOPPED ME
haha
i wanted to buy red stockings for korea but NOPE i carnt find any either

so the conclusion was
we embarked on a shopping trip but we got NOTHING for ourselves
lou bought 2 belts for her cell group birthday thingy
and i got myself a book

tired and jaded of not finding anything we like
we took the bus home

i expect this trend to continue for quite some time until the flower craze is out
but then its okay
if my f21 spree is successful
i can just have enjoy my holidays by doing online shopping

i really hope this time its over from my life
back then when i studied for A levels i told myself after As
i will nv see econs again in my life

this whole exam thing has made me come to realise stop saying things that u will regret in the future
so from monday till today
i just keep telling myself one more time, one more time of econs only
seriously its torture to study something that u haf studied for almost 2 years
and during that 2 years it was in-depth studying
now its more not so in-depth studying
but yet you know if u dun study u carnt score

but thank god for small mercies
today's econs paper was manageable
although the questions was super weird
i had around 15mins left to check so its okay

after econs went back to hall
anw i din stay in hall for the past few days
but i decided i need to stay in hall for the last paper

god knows what will happen to me if i stay at home

can i please take back that line in the previous entry that if the master budget came out, i will faint at the spot
BECAUSE
HALF of the master budget came out

when i flipped the paper and i saw that question
i just mastered up all my courage and told myself to leave at least 1 hour to do that bloody budget question
so 3 questions in 2 and a half hours
approx 45mins per question with 5 mins buffer time

first question was just PLAIN HAPPINESS
never before i wanted to embrace TCS&ABC so much
i finished that question in 25mins
den i went on to the next question, knowing that it will start to kill me
it was just too decepive

second question
TRICKY TRICKY TRICKY
i have no more description for it
because i was tricked by it
only to find out aft the exam
but i only got 1 intrepreation wrong i hope there is still method marks!
rah, and i knew in the exam my ans was weird but no matter how i check i just couldn't find my error
WELL DONE

third question was the budget
i do until i want to vomit blood
press calculator until i wanted to faint
TEDIOUS TEDIOUS TEDIOUS
there was like 4 budgets to do
i do finish 2 budget
i saw another 10 mark qualitative question there
i was like
i get the 10 marks first
somemore the qualitative question was easy so pheeeew
hope my budget the figures are all correct

overall the paper was QUITE OKAY LA
i mean those difficult questions is to differentiate the A+ students right
i dun mind getting differentiated

after the paper got back the accounting project
seriously i was hoping for a B+/A- AT LEAST
i mean i seriously thought our group put in our best
and especially jason which was 200% effort
and we worked well together and all
shld get not bad grade
when jason took the project and shook his head to me
i seriously thought he was just joking
AND THEN
i saw that big fat fugly B on our project
MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT
no words to describe
lost all my mood and just went to take my bag and wait for lou so we can cab back home

cabbed back home
ate lunch
took an afternoon nap because i was so traumatised and tired
woke up to find that the excel quiz results is also out
remember the traumatising excel quiz
i got another fugly B-
OMG seriously
they are making it impossible for me to get even a B+
i just hope that i can be in the normal portion of the bell curve
and pray hard that i get a B/B+ as my final grade for my accounting
seriously
i never felt so horrified in my whole life again
this is even worse than my OB trauma

oh and i read through the marker's report on the accounting project
like wow, super demanding
its mission impossible to hit his/her standard la
and i seriously feel my group satisfies most of the criteria
but it was just NOT ENOUGH
well, i shant be tooo sad
at least we put in our best

econs and stats left
i shant say anything now
i regret everytime i comment about the next paper

seriously OB is my worst nightmare
its almost comparable to A Level chemistry papers
excpet that there's not organic structures haunting me this time
yesterday night was HORRIBLE
i tried to sleep at 1130
and guess what
the weather was too hot to even fall asleep
norm i can fall asleep although its a little hot
but yesterday's weather was just tooooo hot
toss and turn like there's no tmr
and den when i check the time, 130am
GOSH
i am still turning in bed
but finally i dunnoe when, i manage to fall alseep

woke up at 7plus
ate breakfast, bathe
when i walked out of my hall
i could feeeel the scorching heat
as if the sun is determined to kill me, not knowing that OB will kill me later

seriously i thought i was prepared for the paper
i mean reading the book and doing the past yr exam qns
i could apply the theory to the context of the question
SOMEHOW TODAY
i had a mental block
anw, the past yr exam papers right, its either 4 short questions or 3 long questions, to be done in 2 hours
must they make it such that we know time travel at the speed of light or sth
but tdy i flipped the paper
4 VERY LONG QUESTIONS
LIKE OMG
anw my strategy was to read all the question and jot down all the relevant points in 20mins
den start, so each question will take 25mins
i think i read all the 4 question with FEAR
seriously my heart was just thumping and i seriously felt the urgency to START on the paper
so within 15mins
i began writing
and gosh, right at the start of writing my ans
my handwriting was alr ATROCIOUS
and i seriously have no idea how to structure my ans so i wrote in point form paragraphs
which i am thankful that it is allowed

and i left many blanks after each part, how naive of me to think that i would actually have the time to go back and ADD MORE POINTS
anw i kept to the 25mins limit for each question
so at 1035, i started on qn 4
when they said there was 15mins left
i was almost done with my part a
left part b
BUT DUNNNNNOE WHY
anw part b has 2 sub parts, like sources of resistance and ways to handle the source of resistance
i seriously dunnnoe what happen
did time just pass faster or because my hand couldnt write as fast after writing nonstop for like almost 1 hour plus
when i finished my sources of resistance, the examiner said TIME'S UP
totally, i just CURSED on the spot
determined to finish the paper
i continue writing
and seeems like luck was not on my side
the examiner started collecting the paper a few seats away from me
GOSH
seriously, my ways to handle was just 4-5 lines maybe?
points but not elaborated
and when the examiner came, he was REALLLLLY pulling my paper away from me
but i used my hand to STOP him pulling away the few marks i can get and asked him to wai
in the end, no use
i just GIVE IN and let him take the paper away from me

i couldnt finish the paper, neither could i apply as much concepts that i thought i could

but now, i serioulsy just want to keep my B+

i suddenly had the urge to blog in the morning dun ask me why
i feel like this sem my blog has beeen abandoned more than ever
anw this wed will be my first exam paper - OB
next mon- AA102
next wed- econs
next fri- stats
and on 25th April 11:30a.m. i can SCREAM all i want, JUMP all i want and of course SLEEP all i want
seriously, these few days, i suffer mental battles of whether to go take a nap in the afternoon
and every morning is some battle between the bed and the alarm clock

anw i've come to realise that i study best in my hall
i think its the isolation
no tv, bad internet connection, uncomfortable chair, small tweaky bed and now there's the hot weather
but seriously, it beats my home because i have cable tv, wireless broadband connection, my swivel chair, king size bed and AIRCON
totallly opposite ends of the world
i know many people can study better in the more comfortable condition but i seriously dunnnoe why i study better under HOSTILE conditions, so i am going back to hall this afternoon
so i can spend tmr as a final revision for OB

anw my weekend was quite UNPRODUCTIVE
suppose to conquer econs, what i mean was reading the txtbook but in the end i succumb to just reading the notes at home
seriously i think taking econs was a BAD choice
i thought it could pull up my GPA a little but looking at things now
i dunnnoe what will happen
because i have studied it for like 2 WHOLE YEARS, okay maybe not
but now reading those stuff again i always want to SLEEP
rah
so i have read like 7 lectures of econs, 5 more to go
luckily the last 5 is macro econs which seeems a little more friendly

i also revised my stats
like read thru all the formulas and parts of the txtbook
didnt do any questions, shall leave it to after OB
left with the last chapter
MULTIPLE REGRESSION
seriously its horror, i wish ho wei kang is here to like teach me
i think i will see the light immediately and NOT hate multiple regression so much
i will start on it after i blog finish this, YES I WILL

i think OB just zaps up all my brain cells i dunnnoe why
and i hope i can flip the book fast enough during the exam
and write fast enough during the exam
anw my pen consumption level has reached all time high
like 2 weeks ago i bought 3 new pens
yesterday, i was running low in my ink and i bought another 3 new pens
GOSH
and stationary is so expensive nowsdays!

anw i also realise i cannot do w/o dongbang or suju when i am studying
i neeed to like watch them or seeeee them during my study breaks
i guess its to keep me sane and maybe motivate me
almost everyone has become my happy pills
minnie, junsuu, joongie, eunhyukkie, donghaee, shindong and now even kyuhyun is also motivating me

because even minnie and junsu's dogs can keeep my happy just a mere glimpse of them

it was just too horrible

i finally feel alive again
so it was madness over the past few weeks

1) chionging OB Article Critique, Q&A and contribution
so glad that OB is finally over after all that hard work and time devoted to making it happen
will be getting back 60% of our grade this weeeeek. damn scared but what is done is done right
rah. BAOJIE if u r reading this i hope i get the chance to like give you a treat. haha

2) trying to study hard for stats quiz and econs quiz

entertaining them during the weekend when i already don't have enough time to study my quizzes and do my tutorials. ohwellls
and i realised something, the more work is being piled on me, the more I am reluctant to do them
damn bad, especially when exams are coming

3) chionged the biobiz project from yesterday night till now
FINALLY COMPLETED IT AND SUBMITTED IT
i seriously feeel a complete sense of relief because this is the last project of the sem
NO MORE PROJECTS!
i am like being high myself in my hostel rooom now since lou is not around. haha

so what's left of me is the final exams and what sucks this time is there isnt reallly a one week break for us. but lucky my tutorials are going to end early so i can haf a little bit more time to study
and since biobiz is finally over
its time to catch up on my tutorials that i have forsaked, mainly stats
yup, magic date now is 25th april-last day of exams!

anw i feeel super guilty because it has been ages since i really watch the dongbang and suju boys
i guess i will try to catch up on what they have been up to lately
seriously can't wait for the 3 month holiday break
neeeeed to do some proper shopping
and maybe a bangkok trip anyoonnne? :D

i havent update this blog for like 16 days
pretty amazed with myself because i almost forgot the existence of this blog
anw much has happened after handing in the salvador dali assignment
completed and submitted my accounting project this weeek
love my accoutning project grp, hope we get an A for our project! :D
many more sutff has happened but i am seriously too lazy to blog further
wednesday i hit VIVO city with lou after a long day of lects
reached there at around 6pm
we ate super dog! its quite good but i don't think its addictive
we drank starbucks green tea frap :D happiness
and i spent like $200 bucks! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO
in case u all dunnoe i accumulated like $700+ in my SPENDING account
and my mum didnt give me allowance for this month and i didnt realise it
mainly bcos she say i am not spending my money
ok, evidence that i was busy with schoool work and how no life i am
so i bought a dress from f21, a dress from pull&bear and a camisole from pull&bear
HAPPPPPPY :D
ok although i dont think i will get to wear the dress to school since i am lazy to dress up for school but i know i will wear them during the holidays
seriously carnt wait for the holidays!

sorry for the lack of updates
it has been quite a busy week for me
the whole week was seriously just spent doing OB case study presentation

the craziest thing that i ever did so far in my uni life is to climb into a seminar room at almost 12 midnight so as to rehearse for the presentation next day
in case u are still doubting it
YES I DID THAT
and i climbed through the windows of the room because the doors were locked
totally crazy but reminded me of the vj days where we will ocassionally climb the school gate
that is why i say OB is overrated
so much effort put in for 15% of ur grade
and there is another article critique coming up

anw thurs after OB a few of us had this little road trip
we went to bedok 85 to eat
TOTALLY HEAVENLY
it has been thousand years since i've been there
kind of miss the old anglican days also
and it was some hungry ghost festival
i ate like almost 2 bowls of bak chor mee, chicken wing and drumlet, satay, otah, stingray and drank a green tea can and well, half a cup of sugar cane juice
supppper happy from all the fooood
den we proceeded to bukit timah for island creamery while on the way there, stanley realised that he got a summon for parking at some lot at bedok
while it was quite funny that 4 of us didnt realise that we were issued a summon until we went onto the highway and we saw this white piece of paper battering on the windscreeen
ohwells. haha
island creamery was also GOOOOOOD
we took pictures there and printed a photo and stuck there illegally
haha

nice times (:
after that we went to orchard and sang kbox for the rest of the night because it was ladies night
reallly crazy, sang from 11pm till like 4plus am in the morning
was totally shagged and i almost lost my voice. haha
reached home at around 5am in the morning
bathed and slept
when i woke up my body clock was totally screwed for the rest of the day so i did nothing much except accounting tutorial

and i was like down with some sore throat can
gosh, must be all the good food and that kbox
so i've been spending my time trying to drink alot of water in order to ease the heatiness
luckily i am like near fine now

finally completed my salvador dali
but i think i will still try to edit here and there for the rest of next week before submitting but its really a GREAT RELIEF
and something did crack me up when i check my shiny stats account

gosh, look at the amount of people who searched for salvador dali and employee engagement and came to my blog. HAHAHAHAHA. these people must be thinking that i blog such shit for a living.

ohwells. i actually still have 2 tutorials and an accounting project pending for next week

ok, edit to my last post, i cancelled my order for the T album from yesasia mainly because i went to sembawang on saturday to get the purple line single and saw to my horror that the exact same T album that i orderd actually only cost $32.90 at sembawang. and to more horror, i went back home and check soompi, hmv singapore is selling it at $28.95. GOSH. yesasia is selling it for some S$40+ can, price exclusive of shipping. and lucky yesasia allowed me to cancel my order

or else my money will be conned. haha

saturday was like low productive day. didnt do much
i read like 1/4 of econs lecture 1 notes den i went out alr
went to parkway, got necessities for hostel, bought blue eyeliner, bought 2 revlon nail polish because they were having some 1 for 1 promotion
den i was about to go for my wsc session
waited at the parkway bus stop
was about to take out my ezlink card when i realised to my very horror again that i left my ezlink card at home
and den i glance up and saw 966 approaching the stop
i was like SHIT. look around and see if i could beg for money. lucky i saw sheryl, exchanged some coins with her
den it became weird
36 was infront of 966
but the problem was both buses didnt move for a very long time while other buses pass them
den passengers onboard both buses began to alight

only to find out that there was an accident
he wanted to go to orchard from waiyip's house
app he took 43 and the machine on the bus broke down or sth

but failed
it was too sleeep inducing so i went to sleeep

woke up today, glance thru like 3 lecture notes of econs
went to watch coffee prince as break
den since i had like 3 cds left
i just haf the urge to like finish it

the week has been rather okay
wednesday night i went to paint my family banner with yanmin and jiamin

thursday after OB my class dashed down to sakae at jurong area
wanted to make it in time for the high-tea buffet
which closes at 6pm, last order is 530pm and our lesson ended at around 415pm
so we reached there at around 5pm like a hoard of hungry ghosts
mind you, i had lesson from 1030 to 4plus, and i only ate macs breakfast
CONFIRM HUNGRY LA PLS
so we went in and stanley pointed to this section of the menu "can we have one of each pls?"
walaoooo, totally eat nonstop while the food came
den came to a point
it was too overwhelming alr
toooo many sushi, seee alr is like want to puke
and keith was damn funny cos he ordered like alot of tuna sushi only to find out that none of us like tuna so he had to like put what he order into his stomach
he even ordered like 5 plates of salmon sushi, which luckily he was smart enough to like cancel the orders before we die from an exploding stomach
we even smuggled some leftover rice out using like tissue paper wrapper for fear of being charged for wastage of food
totallly hilarious but bad for the stomach at the same time

after that went back hall, pack my stuff and got onto a cab
this time i come down from hall there was an empty cab, super happy. hoho

friday was a tormentous day for me
i spent the whole day doing stats
do until my brain kenna fried la
stats is DISGUSTING
it was okay at first and now the real horror comes

saturday i went to topshop and FINALLY bought a top which i will wear for new year
and since i was like late for wsc, i decided to take a cab to defu lane 1
but guess what, eunos area had some major traffic jam
and my whole cab fare cost $16
i almost fainted during the journey
firstly because the meter was jumping
and secondly the taxi uncle has some strange addiction to feng you
he just kept sniffing feng you
and being in air-conditioned and stuck in a traffic jam
i was so overwhelmed by the feng you smell that i almost cried in the cab due to the strange chemical reaction of fengyou + air con, which i dunnoe how to call it
i never want to take cab down ANYMOREEEE
heart pain la

today is a nice day because i won't be staying in hall for the next week
so i no need go back hall
so i get to watch the last episoide of ehb at home with GOOOOD internet connection and nice big screeen
only drawback is for the first time in my life
i have to wake up super early to go to school since my lesson tmr is 830
and the queue for 179 is no joke having heard from many people
so i hope i won't be like late

the week has been more exciting than the past weeks
monday was as usual boring boring tutorials
i serioulsy think my stats tutor is legendary
she said "actually i don't understand the answer myself"
wow, thanks for your honesty
i am totally amazed and of course i realised that stats will be self study from now on
my econs tutor is not an econs tutor
she doesn't anwser the tutorial questions from an economic point of view
rather, her way of answering makes me feel like i am in some civics moral class
GOSH
only my accouting tutor is good, which i am seriously thankful for pls
oh, and there was some bazaar at the south spine
selling like cheap stuff la
and i saw cheap board games
totally happy! haha
i bought like spongebob monopoly for $10, pooh bear uno for $2 and travel set connect 4 for $2.50
SUPER CHEAP. SUPER HAPPY. HAHAHAHA
this is the only kind of cheap thrills you can get when u live in some isolated island

tuesday was a day spent in hostel alone with my OB readings
haha

wednesday was a day full of lectures
before the biobiz lecture, my class girls discussed about houseman and the pains of childbirth
dun ask me why we went to that kind of topics
but i seriously think childbirth is like SUPPPPPPER painful and torturous
was quite an eye opener
so everybody reading this pls be nicer to your mums, not just on mother day
hahaha
and i went for my first biobiz lect
i think should change to copy-like-mad lect
cos we are suppose to summarize what the speaker say for our assignment
so as kiasu singaporen students, we totally just copy down the slides of the speaker
i even copied the diagrams la
haa, but i seriously don't mind cos its not that horrifying as the social issue elective
after the lect went back to hall and get changed den went to the src basketball court
it was my hall basketball girls semi-finals
was quite worried since we only had like 8 people
and some of our main players are not on form
and i totally scared i kenna sub in la since i cannot really play
haha
and we saw our opponent with like full team
the match was damn exciting la, very tight match
and our opponents had like endless stream of players to sub
but its okay. cos we won in the end! HOHO
super happy. my heart almost drop out in the end cos the match was seriously too intense
yup. after the match we went to the badminton court and watch cheerleading
supposedly some biggest event in NTU, hall opening ceremony
den all the cheerleaders will go cheer
was quite sad for my hall since they made quite a few mistakes
but they did super nice and challenging moves
it would be superb if they had succeeded in all
yup. and we got 3rd for cheerleading, not bad right. haha
after cheerleading went for dinner/supper with the bball girls
was quite fun, long time no team dinner/supper
den i went back
bathed and did my laundry
read thru OB and went to sleep
was super tired

thursday had econs lect and OB sem
OB seminar ended early like 4
but the stupid shuttle bus took too long to come
ok, also blame it on my laziness of walking back to hall
i totally rely on shuttle bus now, seldom walk to and fro to school liao
i reached hall at like 440
i havent packed my stuff, totally won't make it in time before peak hour to get a cab
so guess what i did
ask jirong come to my hall and play connect 4
HAHAHAHAHA
jirong is secretly talented and good in playing connect 4 can
me and lou kenna like thrash by him for dunnoe how many times
only managed to like win him 2 times which was super tyco cos he wasnt focusing
haha. current addiction is connect 4! stimulates ur brain lo!
after that we went to canteen 5 to pack dinner
we decided to try the bubble tea there only to turn out to be huge disaster
cos apparent the bubble tea is not made with pearls but rather some unknown "pearls" that taste weird and are not chewy
AHEMMMM
so we only like drank less than half of the whole cup and threw it away
i know its wasteful but it was seriously horrible

den once i got a cab that is coming
i saw an empty cab!
haha. this is the first time i did this, i flagged the empty cab
the driver stopped and i hop on, den i cancelled my booking
hahaha, cab now very expensive okay
and my cab fare was like $20
pls compare to last week when me and lou stupidly took during peak hour
peak hour is from 5-8
hahahaha
so you don't take during peak hour is still okay provided you get a cab

hmmm, i bought coffee prince vcd yesterday. shall watch it during new year
its really secretly addictive
oh, and now i remember, me and lou were weirdly addicted to que sera sera ost on tues night. haha

week 2 of sem 2

another week has flown past again

anw last saturday i met jingting at ps for lunch
ate ajisen
but due to the fact that i had a super full breakfast all thanks to my mum
i almost died while eating ajisen
yup, walk around for awhile
wanted to buy purple nail polish to prepare for the upcoming single, purple line by my boys but carnt seem to find nice colours
now i am actually contemplating whether to highlight my hair purple. haha
den after that went to wsc session

sunday
i woke up early! like 8am
i went to the gym. HOHO
exercise is good
i ran 3km
did 80 leg extensions - which i deeply regretted because my whole thigh hurt for the week
and some other weights
feeeeels goood
ahahha. shall really try to continue to visit the gym everyweek from now

monday
i woke up early in the morning
like 6am
guess what i did
to watch EHB episoide part 2 with dbsk
i woke up early because on sunday night the internet connection at hostel was just too slow
couldnt load finish at all
so i gave up, slept early and woke up early to watch EHB
EHB was a little disappointing because they edited out so much of changmin parts
bias-poks. but still there are funny moments la
den went for my stats tutorial at 830am
stats tut was like -_-
firstly, i carnt hear my teacher
she's practically whispering
secondly, i carnt see the words on the powerpoint slides cos its seriously small
thirdly, my tcher keeps confusing us with the wrong ans
so i spent my time surfing soompi bcos our clsroom had laptops for each and everyone of us
and later i found out that my tcher is actually one of the lousiet
but what to do, in order for my 3-day work week to stay, i haf to sacrifice my stats

after stats tutorial was accounting tutorial
which was not bad
i quite like my teacher so yay (:

den had lunch break from 1230-230
den i had my econs tutorial
my econs tcher's from nepal
another -_- tutorial
cos she writes so slowly
and econs at the uni level is really weird
or either that my knowledge is too rusty
cos i carnt seem to understand some of the things now

yup. and my day ended at 430
and it was pouring so i had to take a shuttle bus back
the very ironice thing was i actually brought an umbrella on sunday
and i had an umbrella in my hostel
but i just didnt bring it. tsk tsk

when i went back to hall, slept first
den i was tortured during the night by many OB readings

tuesday
crashed NUS. haha
went to have lunch with jingting
at the famous indonesian stall which was advertised on tv
seriously not bad
and i went to macs and ate large curly fries and drank a big cup of milo
totally stuffing myself with food
den after lunch went to meet tracy at the science fact
den we took a cab back to my hall
the 2 of them stayed for awhile and left

wednesday
had accounting and stats lecture in the morning
den afternoon went for my elective lecture
which was just totally traumatising
i thought i would like that elective since i roughly glanced thru the syllabus and it seems interesting
until the tcher showed us this video called "quest for fire"
which was totally just AHEM. i shant elaborate further
its actually a movie about primitive men searching for fire and blah blah
and since its primitive, there is not a single drop of english in the whole show
so the actors were communicating in barbaric language
after the show he continued lecturing
and i carnt seem to understand the stuff
and it was information overload
so conclusion, i decided to drop my elective after that traumatising class

my class ended at 6
went back hall to put my stuff
den went to can 2 and meet poh lu and stanley for steamboat
was not bad just that the fire is scary
and that was when stanley told me there was appeal for biobiz elective
which is a super hot elective la
just haf to email the prof can get alr
so after dinner i went back
drop my elective and email the prof
yup, and i got the elective so YAY!
whats so good about the elective is there is no exams (:
and most of my clsmates are taking that also
so its good to have company
and i heard the bell curve grade is not bad
so yay, as long as its not that social issue in sci & tech elective

thursday
woke up feeling excited
haha
went for econs lecture
which was like slap slap
the lecturer just sucks
like make me confuse over econs!

after that went for OB seminar
which was exciting for some reasons until some other things happened that negate the whole thing
SIGH
almost everyone knows my dirty little secret. aha

and i am truly sorry towards my nanpyung after that sem
i am self-repenting now so yes. i know i was wrong. haha

i actuallly forgot to blog about this important incident
because my lesson was from 1030 to 430 straight without much break
didnt actually haf lunch
so i went back hall
me and lou decided to go canteen 13 to have korean food
it was a happy trip until we reached the canteen korean stall
and we saw alot flies flying around
was still okay until we bought our bibimbap and sat down
it was like"the attack of the flies"
there was seriously alot of flies that we couldnt even eat
we were like busying swating away the flies
it was quite horrifying because we saw people around us eating peacefully without any attack of the flies
so we decided to change our seats
it was peaceful for a moment until the flies attacked us again
so we just ate and swat the flies at the same time
and you know what, 2 other people sat next to us with korean food also
they were also attacked by the flies
my conclusion?
flies are attracted to korean food
or either that the flies are the descendants of korean flies or sth
cos when we finished our food, the flies stopped pestering us
GOSH. i never want to go canteen 13 for korean food ever! horrifying!

and i also cannot believe i forgot to blog abt our expensive cab fare back
i think we are both very blur to the taxi fare rates
we purposely wait till 7 to take cab
because we think its not the peak hour
so we hopped onto the cab once we got down from hostel
like last sem, we usually have to wait like super long for a cab
now cabs are everywhere on the campus
the journey was fine until was saw the extra surcharge meter
at katong
it was a whooping $7+ bucks
and the taxi fare was about $20+ alr
OHMYGOD
in the end, the journey from ntu to tanah merah cost a whooping $36+ bucks
this is murder please
someone pls tell me why is it so expensive!
i never want to take cab home alr!
i shall try to devise a method not to bring so many books home so i can take public transport back

4 core modules and 1 elective
i hope it will be alright since stats and econs have been taught before in jc and the lectures i had so far are quite okay except for the fact that the lecturers are not in the least entertaining
i am abit afraid for the social sci elective because there is project work and the project seems difficult and i don't really know anybody in the class. i feel like a freshman all over again just that i seem to dislike socializing as the days go by
but i am quite interested in the topics that will be taught and since its like a prescribed elective i have to clear somehow, may as well just study
the most i SU that stupid elective loh. haha

alright. first week of school was just boring
but there are like 3 tutorials to complete all by monday
me and lou were kinda tortured by the new topics and tutorials on wednesday night when we tried to attempt them
i was doing stats. reading the book was just weird because florence nightingale appeared in my textbook and tons other rubbish which i just skip becuase there are not relevat at all
lou was doing accounting. and this week topic was on ethics. haha. reading the book was quite bizarre also because when she opened the book there was this shakespear quote

things were learnt back in jc. so relax
just that the lecturer is a MCP and he carnt really pronounce ceteris paribus and the fact that he has taught for over 10 years makes it even more -_-
but i do pity the people who didnt take econs before because they are going to use 3 months to learn the things that was taught over 2 years. first lecture only we were taught up all the way to elasticity. i think i will die if i didnt take econs before

organisational behavouir (OB) looks digusting because there is so many things to read and there is this creative thinking/writing segment where you have to looks at bizarre pictures and write an assignment, sth like that
which is BAD because i am nowhere near creative or artsy

alright. enough of schoolwork
met up with rena at jp this week and visited her hall.
haha, definitely eye opener for me, esp the things she and her roommate studies
makes me thankful for what i am studying. lol

going to meet jingting tmr for lunch and pass her dbsk 2nd asia tour concert
yup
and hopefully i can hit the gym on sunday morning since my timetable is 3 day work week
allows me more time on the weekend
yup, have been sick this week but i am getting well soon so hopefully can go

ok, last post before the year ends. haha
realised i havent been blogging since that ultra long post
well, actually much has happened in my life
shall just blog it in point form

1. received a free 3G phone from singtel as part of their xmas promotion (: super good deal but i didnt trade in my present phone since my phone looks like the anycall phone so i decided i need to preserve my couple phone :D hahaha

2. due to the over-excitement or rather post-excitement of the bangkok trip, i actually forgot to register for my electives, so i can only like see what is left over after the allocation for me. super dumb blonde moment but what can i do right -_-

3. watched finish oh! feel young, tink its still showing on kbs world but at least i managed to finish the vcd i bought. not a bad show quite nice. yup

4. bought a book to read. not chick flick ok. 19 minutes by jodi picoult. its a good book and its thought provoking. and after reading that book i just felt like ordering many many of jodi picoult books because i thought she was a good writer but on second thought that school is starting, i decided not to. there will be textbooks waving to me soon

5. anw was sick since i got back from bangkok, am still sick now just that i am better. i actually lost my voice a few days ago which i suspect the main culprit was because i ate some super spicy while i had like sore throat so lesson learnt people is just eat healthy when you are sick

6. went back to hall to play inter-hall games. the games was quite disappointing bcos i think we could have won the last game if not for the lousy empiring and many other irritating moments. i was actually scratched by one player which was just ARGH. that bitch will get her lesson some day. so interhall games ended for me but i think i am going to join next year again. and its seriously not bad that i actually exercised during the holidays when normally i don't. haha

7. caught national treasure with jingting someday, the second one was quite good. i just like how funny riley is in the show and all. haha

8. met up with the s46 people one saturday. went to AMK hub to eat new york new york. it was actually my first time but i don't think nyny was that fantastic. only the giant burger was kinda the highlight. its actually for 4 people but if you can finish that burger ALONE, you actually received a coke float free with compliments from nyny. so those hungry souls out there can go give it a try someday when you are super bored as i don't think gorging down the burger would be a fantastic feeling. haha

9. met up with the 4f people one sunday. its been a long time since we saw each other. haha. ate at azabu sabo and caught the movie warlords. don't think it was very nice because towards the end it was just abit bizarre for me and i caught the last bus home with qixin that day. hahaha

10. met up with jingting and debbie on xmas day. that day was seriously major spending for me
because i bought a pair of shoes and a bag from topshop! ahem. the shoe was on sale so i really couldnt resist anymore and the bag, been eyeing it since i came back from bangkok. apparently its red and i have really started to embrace red since i came back from bkk. so i bought it even thought there wasnt sale. gosh. i think that should be the last buys for the year i cannot spend anymore! oh and the 3 of us just laze around until we were super tired and went home

11. the 4 threadless tees that i ordered came yesterday. super happy i think i kind of have a new wardrobe for the next sem alr. hahahahahaha

12. yesterday was also the release of my examination results. was super like blur when i went to student link and the page opened and i just stare at the screen trying to find my GPA only to realise later that you have to calculate yourself. in overall i am quite pleased with my results. GPA = 4.2
Accounting I = A-
Financial Management= A-
Business Law = B (seriously think its a miracle considering that i got a D as cls participation)
IT= A- (hahaha, i have no idea how)
Comm Fund= B+

and yup, quite a good start for the first sem, shall work harder next sem! (:

13. oh and dbsk won the president of korean republic of music thing on 23rd dec and they declared that day as dbsk day. woooohooo. congrats to my boys. and i am seriously excited about the Exploring the human body that they filmed with super junior to be out, which will be 6th jan. seriously can hardly wait to watch that. and congrats to my boys for their 4th anniversary on 26th dec, they have debuted for 4 years! hoho and its been around 1.5 years since i started liking them. hwaiting! :D

14. alright, i am turning 20 next year. seriously doesnt sound pleasant at all. i mean now my age starts with a number 2?! gosh

anw a few simple resolutions for next year

1) stay healthy, by that i meant exercising and eating healthy. haha
2) work hard

saturday i went SHOPPING
this season of topshop is perfect
there are many nice clothes but i dun have enough money for them
anw, i like the glittery clothes this season
all in all, i bought 2 tops and a pair of skinnys
super happy
but i think i need to shop more, i havent really been shopping during the school time

i watched like 5 movies in 2 days
i think i had an overdose
so no movie renting for quite some time

i'm contemplating whether to read a book this holiday
but i went borders and saw nothing much that appeal to me
i guess book reading will have to wait until the thailand trip

i think i won't be able to sleep on 12th's night
well, i am suppose to learn thai but that hasnt happen

overall was okay

a short night gathering was ratherly costly

havent seen her in ages although we stay in the same school

we reached NTU at 8am when our exam starts at 9am

but seriously, i just couldnt contain my excitement that it would be over soon!

but hello, i only have 2 hands
so all i could carry was all my books and notes and my clothes

Financial management is disgusting
the calculation questions are relatively okay
can do
when it comes to the mcq on theory
SUCKS BIG TIME
like they can ask u, which of the following is MOST CORRECT
and they can give u options that can either sound correct to you, or some incorrect but some still correct
or all options sound INCORRECT to you, and they give u a last option, none of the above is correct
SO WTF?!
i seriously have phobia of mcq
esp that chem prelim mcq horror which resurfaced in my memory due to the FM mcq
for your info, i have gotten 10 mcq incorrect at a go
mission impossible you might think but i made it possible

put fm aside, biz law is SLAP SLAP
so much things to write
and they give u only 2 and a half hours
its even worse than econs essays
can u imagine doing 6 questions of biz law in 2 and a half hours
and on top of that, you have a 4 page article to read regarding like 6 of the questions?!
and seriously looking at the examiner report doesnt make me feel better

alright, looking at the bright side, 26th nov is freedom babbyy
let me draw up a to-do-list after exams

1) cut and rebond and maybe dye my hair, my hair is messy
2) i want to shop for clothes, i havent really been major shopping since school started, time to make up for it

i was super happy during the exam
when i could balance my cash flow at first go
totally, the feeling is just :D
i was so happy but i had to remain seated because i really had the urge to jump around
i totally heck the theory question as i was too excited with the cash flow
yup

alll in all, its over
i cannnot be bothered

at 1130am today
i was just in a state of elatedness
muahahaha
even the rainy weather didnt dampen my mood

ok, the momentary happiness will soon be overidden with my many complaints of FM and Biz law

yay, i am starting to like university exams
it is so different from jc exams
remember back in jc 1 sub u have a few papers
a paper over doesnt mean you can forget about what you learnt because there is still another paper waiting for you
and there was like so many exams testing the same old thing OVER and OVER again

but in uni, no
there is only 1 paper and once its over
ITS OVER
unless u have to retake it but touch wood

the first thing i did when i got back to hall was
throw away all copies of digital life, past year exam qns, thick stack of additional reading material that i didnt touch at all
i kept my IT book and IT notes
shall deal with them at a later date

oh, yest night i had this dream with a combination of laughable factors
the first part of the dream i shant say
then it came to this scene where i saw changmin in my dream
YES. i fantasize about dbsk even in my dream
and the first qn that he asked me was
"do you have enough copies of digital life?"

i was just completely stunned
i replied "erm yes, may i have your autograph please?"

and he said again " do you have enough copies of digital life?"
and i repeated my reply
WEIRD
completely weird
its definitely not the conversation i want if i ever get to talk to changmin face to face

and after that it changed scene to this room where they were flashing the FM answers
and xiah was SINGING out the answers

i was really stunned in my sleep

i am IT-saturated
i have been trying to gain my feeble IT knowledge over the past few days
browsing through my notes of course
and in an attempt not to let the money spent on my IT book go to waste
i browsed through the whole book
trying to absorb as much as i can
of course i skipped the parts which totally look like greek to me
i am so going to sell my IT book after the exam
it is so useless
these 2 nights have been spent reading online articles
staring at my screen does no good to my eyes and brain at all
but i feel that i have gained ALOT of IT knowledge
hopefully what i've read stays
i am left with 11 issues of digital life to conquer
and past year papers
and probably another general revision through the notes
i am amazed at the capacity of my brain now

anw work aside, been blasting dbsk songs like mad
i figured if i leave to memorising of the songs after 26th nov
i might not have enough time
and everyday i just keep thinking of AADBSK and the thailand concert
tsktsk

oh, and i like liang jing ru's new song chong bai

i bought another bag from dorothy perkins in an attempt to use my $10 voucher before it expires on 14nov-that's right, its my IT exam date
well, theres nothing much in topshop and dorothy perkins
the mid-season sale is just not attractive

its this samsung advertisement- i think
with boa, xiah, tablo and kim bora in it
its like 9mins long
BUT DAMN NICE
